5 Reasons We’re Hyped About the New Sahara Las Vegas

Big announcements continue on the north Strip

By Melissa Gill

As SAHARA Las Vegas enters a new phase, undergoing a $150 million transformation, the resort revealed a glimpse of its upcoming Italian restaurant, Ballo and newly renovated outdoor experience, Azilo Ultra Pool. Get ready for a fresh take on Italian cuisine from Chef Shawn McClain and a new sanctuary adorned with sexy Moroccan decor and more. Here are five reasons to count SAHARA Las Vegas as part of your upcoming plans.

Dinner and a Show

If guests are expecting an elevated Italian menu at Ballo, it will additionally surprise them when they see the restaurant’s live-action kitchen preparing orders right before their very eyes like a cooking show. Other exciting facets of Ballo will be their pasta-making window and takeaway deli. Who can resist dinner and a show?

A Versatile Menu and Vibrant Venue

Chef Shawn McClain, a James Beard award-winning culinary creative, will give guests more than just a good meal. The venue’s vibrant setting will match its bold flavor profile and seasonal fare. Ballo will be serving aperitivos, handmade pastas, Roman pizzas, seasonal salads and veggies, rustic-fired meats and fish and rich desserts featuring espresso liqueurs.

Livestream on LED Screens

The focal point of Azilo Ultra Pool will be its giant LED walls wrapping around the pool’s perimeter. In fact, what makes this new aquatic haven so special is that it will be one of the largest LED walls featured in a private setting on the Las Vegas Strip totaling more than 10,000 square feet. From live concerts to adrenaline-pumping sporting events, these wrap around screens will be a great asset to this pool paradise.

My Heart is in Cabanas

Along with the impressive new LED screens, SAHARA Las Vegas will also offer luxurious VP cabanas. All the cabanas will have HD TVs, private pools, spas and restrooms. Guests can enjoy all the perks in a more intimate space. Did I mention they will also have daybeds, lily pads, three bars and lounge seating galore? The pool will be open daily for both hotel guests and locals with engaging events on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Wait, There’s More!

If that wasn’t enough exciting reasons to return to the reimagined resort, there’s more to explore that guests won’t want to miss such as Magic Mike Live, the cozy cocktail spot CASBAR Lounge, the highly anticipated Philadelphia crab house Chickie’s and Pete’s (check out their Philly recipe) and Chef Guoming “Sam” Xin’s Noodle Den (watch Jenna Nye, make Noodle Den’s Dumplings).
