Jeff Kinney, author of 'The Diary of a Wimpy Kid,' makes an appearance in Downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas’ premier independent book store, The Writer’s Block, is bringing stories to life in an innovative way. To celebrate the release of “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid” author Jeff Kinney’s latest book, the store will be hosting a drive-thru book tour event that’s scarily good.
The Deets
• The event will be hosted on March 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
• Hosted in The Writer’s Block parking lot, families will be able to drive through the themed event, following along with characters as they explore a spooky scene.
• At the end, author Jeff Kinney will deliver signed copies of “Rowley Jefferson’s Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories” to kids using a 6-foot, social-distancing-appropriate cemetery shovel.
• Tickets are available for purchase online and include admittance for one car and one signed copy of the book per ticket.
