FRESH PAINT: Last month, artist Nathaniel Benjamin completed a large mural alongside Vesta Coffee in the Las Vegas Arts District. The striking mural is an ode to the villagers who harvest coffee beans, full of imagery that symbolizes the toiling labor that goes into it.
“Most coffee berries are harvested by migrant workers who live in uncertain conditions as they follow the harvest,” the artist noted in an Instagram post. “The work of many human hands goes into making the thing a lot of us depend on to face the world.”
Nathaniel’s piece replaces the previous floral-patterned mural by Holly Rae Vaughn, which was unfortunately vandalized. Hopefully, this one remains intact.
The murals are located at 1114 S. Casino Center Blvd.
