One way to empower women in the community is by shopping at women-owned businesses. Unsure where to start? Here’s a look at 10 local Las Vegas businesses where those hard-earned dollars matter.
What Dress Code Boutique
This Downtown Las Vegas spot sells a variety of fashionable clothing fit for all occasions. What Dress Code Boutique also collaborates with Junk Jeans, a custom and consignment company selling “pre-loved merchandise,” creating unique artistic jeans and distressed denim. Be sure to also keep an eye out for fun pop-up shops around town.

Vintage Vegan Diner
Tumn and Taylor created an affordable delivery and pickup-only vegan kitchen during the pandemic. Due to the challenges they faced, they had to adapt their business into a minimal cost-effective vegan food service.

Enchanted Forest Reiki Center
Enchanted Forest Reiki Center is the largest Reiki Center and spiritual store in Nevada. This year, they celebrate their 10th anniversary. They sell a wide variety of spiritual items such as crystals, tarot cards and singing bowls.

Velveteen Rabbit
The Velveteen Rabbit is an eclectic bar serving craft cocktails and beer in The Arts District. It has been featured in many publications, from The New York Times to Buzzfeed. Unique elixirs include The Black Moon Lililith—Sage-Infused Vodka with Honey, Lemon, Ginger Ale and Lavender Bitters—and shareable cocktails like Liquid Luck, Rum and Brandy with House-Spiced Golden Falernum, Peychaud’s and Luster Dust.

From a fun hobby into a booming side hustle, Carissa Beasley and wife Stephanie Rabun opened a plant shop at Fergusons Downtown, according to DTLV.
