The Ultimate Girls Night Out at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Catch up over cocktails in the groovy Shag Room

By Melissa Gill

As more people get vaccinated and restrictions loosen up, it’s safe to say that a fun-filled girls night out is way overdue. And there’s no better place to indulge in an exciting adventure than in Sin City. Here’s a quick guide for planning your gal-pal get-together at The Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Check Into a Brag-Worthy Suite

Spacious and vibrant, drop off your bags in a comfy suite. The desert-inspired artwork and perfect bathroom lighting make it the ideal spot for the first group selfie of the night. Get ready for an evening of refreshing cocktails, flavorful cuisines and great company.

Join the get in “The Know” reward program for room upgrades, dining discounts and a personalized stay experience (like a mini-fridge packed with your favorite pre-game sips). Plus, there’s no resort fees!

Want to skip the front desk line? Download Meet Lucy (for free), and she’ll be your room key and personal assistant for the night. Need more pillows? Valet service? She takes care of it all.

Hit the Spa With Your Soul Sisters

The Spa can book up to five guests at a time, which is the perfect size for a tight-knit tribe. Guests can book facials, waxing, couples massages and body treatments. Unwind before it’s time to dine by selecting a rejuvenating message like A Proper Sole Renewal, a 25-minute treatment ($85) that focuses on releasing tension that builds up in your head and feet. To energize tired feet, the massage restores soles with a fresh citrus scrub. Followed it with a revitalizing head and foot massage wrap infused with soothing herbal notes of juniper and bergamot.

Sizzling Steak and Sweet Sips at One Steakhouse

One Steakhouse is a vibe. Three-thousand glittery crystals decorate the ceiling, which subtly changes colors from cool blues to steamy reds. Take a green leather seat at the bar and relish in this Dionysian-inspired lounge. One Steakhouse is the first of many Insta-worthy settings in the resort.

To go with this dreamy decor is a menu featuring the $1,200 Tomahawk steak served with six sides (must order 72 hours in advance), which comes with a one-of-a-kind presentation by the “funologist” himself, Chef Patrick Munster. Not a meat-eater? Try the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata salad, a fresh salad dressed with aged balsamic, arugula pesto and spiced almonds. Yum!

Sip on their signature cocktails like The Scorpion Bite, a mixed cocktail of Frey Ranch Nevada Bourbon, Barrow’s Intense Ginger, Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice and Natural Honey-Jalapeno Syrup. If you’d rather drink something on the sweet side, go for a glass of Moscato Rose, a cherry-colored bubbly wine with hints of wild strawberry and raspberry.

Get in Touch With Lady Luck

With nearly 650 slot machines and 50 table games, Mohegan Sun Casino is sure to have a spinner or a table game calling your name. Someone in the group is bound to have some money-making moves on the casino floor. Don’t forget to join The Mohegan Sun’s Momentum card program for all the perks. When you play with your Momentum card, you’ll earn Momentum dollars that can be converted into resort credits and free slot play.

Ready for a Round of Margaritas?

Casa Calavera, a Dia de los Muertos-themed restaurant, serves mouthwatering margs. Three must-try drinks: Hibiscus Margarita, Patrón Reposado, Hibiscus, Agave and a Splash of Lime; Calavera Margarita, Tequila, Patrón Citronge, Agave and Fresh Lime Juice; and Tamarita, a mix of Smoky Meteoro Mezcal Joven, Agavero Liqueur and Tamarind Lime Sour.

If hunger strikes again, chow down on their tasty tacos. They serve a variety from traditional pork carnitas tacos to vegetarian portobello grandes tacos

The atmosphere, filled with beautiful art murals, intricate-themed altars and a “feet-in-sand” outdoor patio, creates a colorful, inviting scene for you and your friends. Many photo ops around the venue make it a great spot for the ultimate ladies night.

Kick Back in The Shag Room

After running around all day, take a break to sit and chat in the alluring Shag Room. This intimate lounge is the perfect spot to take selfies, play in the photo booth and catch up after months of staying home.

In this luxurious atmosphere, sink into the soft sofas behind the sexy red drapes and sip on a fruity cocktail from The Bar at Common’s Club. Take group pictures with a backdrop of gorgeous agate slices or while sitting on the groovy couches with decorative pillows and abstract art.
