Grammy nominee spotted off the Strip on Super Bowl LV Weekend
By Larry Braverman
With limits on large gatherings keeping fans and bettors at home, Super Bowl weekend seemed a bit out of sorts in Las Vegas. But a couple of things always hold true: 1) Tom Brady wins it all, and 2) celebs love to hang here.
Grammy nominee and Mac & Devin Go to High School star Wiz Khalifa spent the early hours of Super Bowl Sunday hanging at Henderson’s Blume Kitchen & Cocktails taking shots of Tequila Clase Azul with his crew until about 2 a.m. Spotted at a nearby table: former UNLV basketball players Dylan and Dakota Gonzalez, aka the Gonzalez Twins. That’s not a surprise, given Blume’s reputation for attracting athletes and influencers—WBC lightweight champ Devin Haney recently hosted New Year’s Eve there.
Mr. Khalifa—we don’t know him well enough to call him Wiz—is no stranger to our nightlife scene, having spent plenty of weekends headlining at Drai’s Nightclub on the roof of The Cromwell. His return is inevitable—it’s just a matter of when. Like everything else, Las Vegas’ nightlife scene is on pause during the pandemic.
While you wait, you can get your Khalifa fix courtesy of his just-dropped collaboration with 03 Greedo dubbed “Substance (We Woke Up)” and the new video for “Dreams.”
