What's your favorite activity off the strip?

I've got to say, I can't give it just one. Hiking? Hiking the Red Rock Canyons and Mount Charleston and skiing. Skiing up in Lee Canyon in the snow in the winter and out on Lake Mead in the summer. The waterskiing's beautiful out there.

 

What's your favorite activity on the strip?

Favorite activity on the strip has got to be eating. I'm a definite foodie, so great food and wine. So many great restaurants, Michelin-Starred. Love that.

 

What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

Dang, I've got to give you two. Off the strip I'd go with Echo and Rig Steakhouse out here in the Summerlin way. On the strip I'd go with La Cave at the Wynn. Beautiful lunch spot. Have lunch at La Cave, sit out on that balcony and look out over the gardens at the Wynn.

 

What's your favorite Vegas business?

I would have to say Designated Drivers, Barry at Designated Drivers, would be my favorite business. Drive my car down to the strip, get Barry to pick me up and drive me home in my own car. That's probably the greatest one, if I have a couple glasses of wine, that is.

 

Do you have a funny Vegas story you can share?

I think all of us locals get this exact same question, "Really, you live in Las Vegas?" For fun I always tease people. I say, "Yes, we live at the MGM. The kids love it. They run around the slot machines. They take good care of us there." People are a little bit crazy around the world. They think we all live in a casino. Anyway, that's me. That's Vegas and we live off the strip.
