Kevin Sorbo - Hercules: The Legendary Journeys

Kevin David Sorbo (born September 24, 1958) is an American actor. He is best known for his starring roles in two television series: as Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and as Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda.

 

What's your favorite activity off the strip?

That's easy, it's golf. I will golf anywhere, anytime that I can possibly golf.

 

What's your favorite activity on the strip?

I love going to concerts, and obviously, Vegas is the king and queen of concerts of all shapes and sizes. It's unbelievable.

 

What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

I'm going to say Outback Steakhouse. How do you guys like that answer?

 

What's your favorite Vegas business?

Levi's. I don't know what to answer for that one.

 

Do you have a funny Vegas story you can share?

I shot Hercules for seven years in New Zealand. I had friends visiting Las Vegas from New Zealand, and my neighbors had to go to the Strip of course when they got there. We drove on the Strip, we saw a show, we saw Celine Dion. Then they wanted to gamble, they had never gambled before. We started something simple as hell, that's the slot machines. Easy, throwing money and boom, one-armed bandit, right? I put in $3 on three different times and on the third time, I won a thousand bucks. $9 investment, I got $1,000 return. My neighbor's wife, Jackie, she goes to the same machine. I said, "no, no, they never pay off right away. I just won on that one, try a different one." She wanted to play that machine. She puts in $3, pulls once, wins $1,000. Back to back and pay the grand, and that's when I said, "Okay, we just paid for dinner and we paid for the concert. Let's get the heck out of here. We're even." I thought that was pretty cool.
