Tom Arnold - Actor / Performer
Thomas Duane Arnold is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies (1994), earning a nomination for the MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance.
Arnold has appeared in many more indie and Hollywood films, Nine Months (1995), The Stupids (1996), McHale's Navy (1997), Animal Factory (2000), Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), Mr. 3000 (2004), Happy Endings (2005), The Great Buck Howard (2008), and Madea's Witness Protection (2011). He was also the host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period for four years.
What's your favorite activity off the strip?
Favorite activity off the Strip? Now off the Strip you know, you could be sight seeing. Here's the thing about Vegas, I've lived up in Vegas, I've done a TV show in Vegas and I live in Caesars Palace and then we filmed in another casino. It was 24 hour Vegas all the time. 24-hour casino for three months. Let me tell you something about Vegas, Vegas always wins. You're like, "Oh, I'll be great." Well, live in a casino, they will film in a casino and then, oh man.
What's your favorite activity on the strip?
You get a lot of fun slot machines, that what I'd do and you see a lot of things.
What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?
There is a lot of unusually good steak houses there. Also, I got to give a shout out to The Planet Hollywood Casino that plays-- I've been at Planet Hollywood for a hundred years.
What's your favorite Vegas business?
I tell you what, you go to Vegas a lot of things happen because famous people don't just perform, they go to Vegas. We're all the same in Vegas because we put our money in there. It don't matter who you are, you can be a fancy person like Tom Arnold, you can be an average person, Vegas doesn't care. They just take your money and you win, you win because then you're a hero. That's the great thing about Vegas, everybody's the same.
Do you have a funny Vegas story you can share?
Anyway, funny Vegas story, let's see here. There's so many funny Vegas. You know what, Vegas, the world changes, the world it's up it's down but Vegas is pretty. Vegas you can count on, you can count on Vegas. You know why? Because it's going to be there, it's going to be there. You know what? They can have a nuclear war. We have probably had a nuclear war, Vegas can still be there. I was trying to look up, they can have the atomic museum somewhere, the actual atomic testing museum. Go visit that shit. You know the, oh, here's what I like, The Neon Boneyard, it's like , if you're like me and you're a romantic, there's a place, it's a whole bunch of old neon signs from like the buildings, go down there and you can see like the old building sites. Go down there, you want to have some memories man, go down there, Vegas.
