Top picks for your season long home away from home NFL team bar
By Toni Gonzales | Las Vegas, NV
Allegiant Stadium will have fans in the stands for the first time in its history cheering on the hometeam Las Vegas Raiders this season. And while Vegas has a past with the pigskin that is as long as a CVS receipt, not all football fans will be cheering for silver and black (gasp). Being that we are a town built on tourism and hospitality, it should come as no surprise that on any given Sunday every NFL team will be cheered for by visitors and locals alike. And therein lies the dilemma. Where are non-Raider fans supposed to go and get their high fives and cheap beers on? Hey man, every football fan deserves love. Well, every fan except Cowboy fans (writer of this article accepts no hate tweets).
Alas, problem solved friends my gridiron lovin’ guys and gals. Below is a list of places where you can score big with your NFL sports squad across Las Vegas.
Top Picks for NFL Team Bars
Baltimore Ravens
Crab Corner Maryland Seafood House
6485 S. Rainbow Blvd. Suite 104, Las Vegas
702-489-4646
Note: Raiders host the Ravens in week 1 on September 13. It will be the teams first ever MNF appearance. Crab Corner flies in the freshest seafood in Las Vegas and prepares it Chesapeake Bay style. Their new expanded location features a full bar & outdoor patio seating!
Buffalo Bills
Johnny Mac’s Bar and Restaurant
842 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson
702-564-2121
http://www.johnnymacswings.com/
Note: Are you at all surprised that one of the best places for buffalo wings is home a Buffalo Bills bar? Last season Johnny Mac’s hosted drinks specials and raffles while Buffalo played.
Cleveland Browns
The Tap House
5589 W. Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas
702-870-2111
Note: The Tap House isn’t just a bar for Browns fans, it is a bar for Ohio fans. Reds, Cavs, Buckeyes and Blue Jacket fans (oh my!) are all welcome here.
Denver Broncos
Jake’s Bar
2301 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas
702-457-0053
Note: Get your Jake’s Orange Crush Club membership. Members receive a Goodie Bag with this year’s custom T-Shirt. All that attend 12+ games will enter into a Cash Drawing during the final Season Game.
Detroit Lions
Crowbar
6851 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas
702-823-1113
www.crowbarlasvegas.com
Note: Wanna go where everybody knows your name? Well Crowbar in Las Vegas says that’s their place. Drink specials for NFL game days make any fan want to roar out loud, even if it’s at QB Jared Goff.
Green Bay Packers
Big Dog’s Draft House
4543 N. Rancho Drive Las Vegas
702-645-1404
Note: Not only does Big Dog’s have their own line of craft beer, they are the self proclaimed “Packer Backers” of Vegas. Not gonna lie either, their beer cheese soup is slurp-tastic!
Kansas City Chiefs
Blue Diamond Saloon
6935 Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas
702-896-1455
Note: Blue Diamond has not one, but two happy hours, both with specials galore. Enjoy a slice of pie while partaking in Chiefs pigskin. Also try to score a poker win, their facebook page is littered with winners of various jackpots (though you may have to fight yours truly off a machine).
Las Vegas Raiders (almost every other bar not listed here in Las Vegas)
Los Angeles Rams
The Tavern
1113 South Rainbow Boulevard, Las Vegas
702- 804-1113
Note: The Tavern is home to the official Rams World Order (RWO) booster club. Three times a day you get a dollar off draft beer and well drinks, and that is without being a Rams fan.
Miami Dolphins
Tommy Rocker’s Mojave Beach
4275 Dean Martin Dr, Las Vegas
702-261-6688
Note: In addition to hosting the Las Vegas Parrot Head Club, Tommy Rocker’s has one of the most rockin’ industry nights. Great specials for Dolphins fans.
Minnesota Vikings
Blue Ox Central
6000 S. Eastern Ave.
702-795-8795
Note: Blue Ox has three separate locations in the Valley for those who have Vikings blood in their veins. Their business motto is “A Minnesota Place with Midwestern Hospitality.” Can’t beat that.
New England Patriots
Old Vegas Tavern
3850 E. Desert Inn Rd., Las Vegas
702-547-0045
http://www.oldvegastavern.com/
Note: Could we see Cam Newton here crying in his craft beer? Not likely. But you will see a whole lotta patriotism for the Patriots. Come for the food, stay for the games, that is about all they have to say about that. But, they are open 24/7 so there is that.
Philadelphia Eagles
Torrey Pines Pub
6374 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Las Vegas
702-648-7775
http://www.torreypinespub.com/
Note: Go and fly with other Eagles fans at Torrey Pines. The place has been known to be full of fans, so if you are gonna swoop over, do it sooner rather than later. Remember, the early bird gets the worm! Besides, you absolutely have to love a bar whose website tells you to take “a shot or 15.”
Pittsburgh Steelers
Noreen’s Lounge
2799 E. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas NV
702-458-7557
Note: If I told you the city of Pittsburg actually recognized Noreen’s as the official bar for the Steelers in Las Vegas you’d likely call it fake news. Well, you would be 100% wrong. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 dollars.
San Francisco 49ers
Joey’s Tavern
7081 W. Craig Rd., Las Vegas
702-215-3300
htttp://www.joeyslasvegas.com/
Note: Bay area fans love to hang out at Joey’s. And why wouldn’t they? Joey has the only hangover burger we’ve ever seen on a menu.
Seattle Seahawks
Scooter’s Pub
6200 S. Rainbow Blvd. Las Vegas
702-227-9047
http://www.scooterspubinc.com/
Note: Have a pint at the pub while sipping on Seahawk special spritzers. Go on and scoot over to be a part of the 12th man army while cheering in their brand new layout.
Washington Football Team
Steiner’s – A Nevada Style Pub
1750 N Buffalo Dr Ste 115, Las Vegas
702-304-8084
Note: Come and wash away all the worries of the new Washington team name scandal. With several locations in the Valley, the location on Buffalo is where you will find the ‘hogs.’ And it’s a good thing, their menu is about as big as the NFL rulebook. Fans can also score VGK and Raiders tickets at the end of each month. Special shoutout to the Vegas Skins Fans facebook page for the inside info on the one-dollar halftime raffles and two-dollar square boards.
Sadly, not all 32 teams are represented here. Yes, we call a personal foul on the play. Some teams had homes that called a time out due to Covid, some may be on the IR list. Or, maybe they were Cowboy bars, who knows? Maybe the clock just ran out on the business. As always, check with each place for health and safety guidelines as we are still in an ongoing pandemic.
