Tasty Tuesday is kicking off the New Year with a tour of three spots perfect for a weekend date night.

Fancy This

Tucked away below the casino floor, Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Las Vegas is from the same culinary team—Chef Barry S. Dakake and the newly formed Make It Happen Hospitality—who were integral players in the legendary N9NE Steakhouse and Scotch 80 Prime at Palms. This new Downtown dining temple is beautifully designed with notes of vintage glamour and features opulent details crafted by local architecture firm Punch. Its walls are decked out in unique and delightful works by local artists. On the menu, feast on the 40-ounce Tomahawk steak that feeds at least three people or Barry’s Steak, the eatery’s signature cut, a 12-ounce Rib Cap roasted over fruitwood and 900-degree coals. Kick off the decadence with the bone marrow luge that is richly folded into delicate fettuccine. Try the lobster potstickers as well as steak tartare and of course, the chilled shellfish platter are all top orders.

Fun-Loving Fare

Every Saturday at the Pinball Hall of Fame on East Tropicana, catch a food truck rally from 2 to 8 p.m. with pop-up eateries in the parking lot created by The Feast of Friends. While options vary from week to week, they offer an impressive selection of imaginative cuisines. Japanese fusion truck Matsuri prepares unique bites like a shrimp tempura burrito and vegan eatery Yaqui Zen serves up Top Ramen crowned with gourmet additions like street corn. Then, go inside and play classic pinball machines from every era at this popular Vegas attraction.

Drink Local

For bevvies and bites, check out the Local, tucked into The District at Green Valley Ranch with a selection of wines, craft cocktails and bites, this is a chill spot to get to know someone special and learn their palate preferences, as well. And yes, there is charcuterie to go with an array of refreshing sips.
