Tasty Tuesday Eats and Drinks All the Things in DTLV

Where to eat and drink around Las Vegas this week

This week, show local love by trying tasty bites and sips at three can’t-miss Downtown hot spots.

Jolt Coffee inside The LGTBQ Center

Jolt Coffee Owner Tiffany Stiles—also of Tiabi Coffee & Waffle Bar by UNLV—has created buzz with her highly caffeinated business model. Jolt Coffee has been inside The LGBTQ Center for almost two years providing fresh coffee, pastries and sandwiches.

One of Jolt’s most popular coffee blends is “The Pride,” a specialty roast that gives back a percentage to The Center. Their love for coffee and the environment encouraged them to invest in The Bellwether Roaster, a progressive machine that reduces 90-percent of the carbon footprint and thousands of pounds of CO2 a year. Don’t miss the Chaga—mushroom coffee, loaded with antioxidants.

Berlin Bar

In the heart of the Downtown Arts District, Berlin Bar is a European experience serving beer and the finest Bavarian eats such as hot dogs and pretzels. Also catch the live entertainment.

Berlin features a unique liquor selection like Dr. Stoner’s Island Bush Herb Rum with silky notes of vanilla and caramelized fruit flavors. It’s infused with fresh, smoky and Caribbean herbs and made using 100 percent unrefined Panela dark brown sugar. Plus, it’s gluten free. Accented by natural sugars, Dr. Stoner’s Island Bush Herb Rum is smooth and complex enough to sip straight.

Dr. Stoner’s Smoky Herb Whiskey is small batch, craft spirit with complex primary fragrances of smoky herbs and grasses mixed with naturally sweet whiskey flavors. These nuances are followed by a fragrant combination including coffee, caramel and cherry. The finish denotes essences of the doctor’s earthy flavors, which is velvety for 84 proof.

Try a Masazul Taco Kit

Taco lovers will go loco for Chef Mariana Alvarado’s Heirloom Corn Tortilla Taco Kits at Secretburger. Ready to heat and eat, this kit serves about two to three people. Here’s all the goodies that come with an order:

  • Hand-Pressed Fresh Blue Conico Corn Tortillas (8)
  • Cochinita Pibil: Yucatan slow cooked heritage pork
  • Artisan Mushrooms: “Carnita” Style (Vegan)
  • Xnipec Habanero Salsa
  • Hibiscus Pickled Onions
