This week, Tasty Tuesday celebrates Cinco de Mayo by cooling off with frozen boozy treats, plus check out a star chef’s new fast casual noodle bar and why not plan for a meaty Monday in May.

Try Marg Pops for Cinco de Mayo and Order Up Tequila Ice Cream

From Cutwater Spirits and available at Smith’s Food and Drug, run, don’t walk to the frozen aisle and grab a bucket of Marg Pops. Available in lime, mango, strawberry and pineapple, come as a 12-pack and each has 7 percent ABV and just 80 calories.

For another day, order up Tequila Ice Cream from Tipsy Scoop in collaboration with Tanteo Tequila— the only distillery owned by its cooperative of agave farmers—and Natalie’s Juice. They are releasing two brand-new boozy ice cream flavors. Both contain 5 percent ABV per serving and will be available for purchase on their website.

The Tipsy Squeeze is vanilla ice cream made with Natalie’s orange juice, a swirl of fresh strawberry and infused with Tanteo Blanco Tequila. The Spicy Fiesta is sorbet made with key lime, Natalie’s margarita mix and Tanteo Jalapeno Tequila flavors.

Build Your Own Noodle Bowl

Dragon Tiger Noodle is the fast-casual sensation from chef Jet Tila with two Las Vegas locations—Southern Highlands and St. Rose Parkway. Dragon Tiger Noodle serves to build your own noodle bowls with four different styles of broth on a draught system similar to beer. Plus, they also make killer chicken wings and there is a vegan noodle bowl option as well.

Choose from udon, fire noodles, rice noodles, ramen and shirataki—a low-carb yam noodle with broths such as tonkotsu pork, beef pho, chicken Chinese and Thai yum. Then, throw in proteins, veggies and toppings for a customized soupy experience. A standout is the Hokkaido Beef with rice noodles, beef broth, thin-sliced beef, scallions, cilantro, red onion with bean sprouts, hot peppers, basil and lime on the side. More locations around the valley to come.

Go Cavewoman for a Meaty Monday at One Steakhouse

Conceived by restaurateur brothers, Michael and David Morton, One Steakhouse is open at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Replacing their first venture MB Steak, the 9,000-square-foot steakhouse has a new open, expanded bar lounge.

Crafted by Executive Chef Patrick Munster, the menu goes deep on all the steakhouse favorites such as Japanese Wagyu, a juicy burger, surf and turf pairings and citrus-cured Hamachi. Plus, don’t forget the King crab fried rice, the legendary ricotta gnocchi and the creamed spinach with poached egg and truffle Gouda.

If you are dining with a dozen of your friends and need 16 pounds of meat, dive into the $1,200 Tomahawk Feast with six sides and requires 72-hours notice. Ask for Johnny O’Donnell, this hotspot’s bon vivant with the most vivant.
