Where to eat and drink around Las Vegas this week
(Editor’s Note: Tasty Tuesday airs on KTNV Channel 13 on Tuesdays at 11:20 a.m.)
In this week’s Tasty Tuesday, L.A. comes to L.V. via two new imports, and a new must-try sushi bar arrives in The Arts District.
Wally’s Wine & Spirits Is Coming to Resorts World
This is the first location of Wally’s Wine outside Southern California—two locations in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica—and its restaurant, wine bar and specialty gourmet market.
Known for catering to its celebrity customers such as Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise, discover the dual bars with communal tables and an interior patio. The bar offers 8,000 labels of wine, spirits, beer and specialty gourmet food items from around the globe available for sale or to enjoy as a sit-down experience.
Wally’s also offers more than 125 wines by the glass, local deliveries and deliveries to Resorts World, which has 3,000 plus rooms.
Brera Osteria at The Venetian in St. Marks Square
The original restaurant is located in the Los Angeles Arts District; the Las Vegas location offers Aperitivo Hour, which was inspired by a 1920s neighborhood in Milan, Italy, bringing people together. This concept comes from Chef Angelo, whose menu consists of shareable plates, freshly made pasta, risotto, extensive choices of seafood-including branzino and calamari and, of course, prime sirloin top steak.
Aperitivo Hour often takes place at the end of the workday or as a warmup to dinner. Reserve a spot at Brera Osteria for Happy Hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3-5 p.m.
Yu-or-Mi Sushi Bar
There’s a new sushi spot in the Arts District with a cute name serving high-quality and artful presentations. Find Yu-or-Mi (the name comes from a Jackie Chan movie) positioned across the street from Esther’s Kitchen and a half-block from the Garagiste Wine Bar. This Japanese-fusion restaurant creates small plates and rolls and offers 20 appetizers, including American Wagyu served with a sprinkle of salt, pepper and sesame ponzu sauce.
