Join the world famous Lindy Hopkins at the Mint Tavern on Sunday, March 1, 2020 for an All Levels Drag Blues Workshop, from 1p-4p The Drag blues, a modern variation of Ballroomin' and Slow Drag, is a style danced to the swinging rhythms found in Blues music. While based on vintage traveling Blues dances, it has more defined technique and integrates Swing moves and movements. One major benefit of Drag Blues is the ability to apply the techniques to other forms of closed position dances, like Argentine tango. The Lindy Hopkins have been teaching and performing Swing dances, including the Drag Blues, all over the world for the last ten years. We are fortunate to have them join us in Las Vegas to share their knowledge of this fun, slow dance. Drag blues was popularized by Joe & Nelle Demers of Colorado - long time friends of SwingDanceVegas (they taught a workshop here way back in 2007!).
