Where To Find Churches on the Las Vegas Strip

Visiting Vegas for the holidays and don’t want to miss Sunday Mass or communion? Although Las Vegas is notoriously considered the City of Sin with the glitz and glam of its attractions, it actually has a vibrant religious community for both local and visiting Christians and Catholics alike, as well as other denominations. Here are the top seven churches on the Las Vegas Strip.

Guardian Angel Cathedral

Located behind Wynn and Encore, this basilica-styled Catholic Cathedral features stained glassed windows, mosaics, murals and stunning architectural design. It is noticeable preservation of the “old Las Vegas” among the urban developments of the resorts surrounding it. First established in 1964 after priests of St. Viator celebrated 4:30 a.m. Sunday Masses in various Las Vegas hotels and casinos, the Guardian Angel Cathedral provides a 7:30 a.m. mass, a 9 a.m. Mass, and an 11 a.m. Mass on Sundays.

They also provide a Saturday vigil at 2:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. Masses Monday through Friday. If you’re looking for confession, they also provide them from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. from Monday through Friday. You can also participate in Mass from the comfort of your own hotel room, as their 7:30 a.m. mass is locally televised on KFBT digital channel 33.1 or KVCW cable channel 6. A radio broadcast of the 10 a.m. mass is also available on Relevant Radio 970AM KNIH. Led by Most Reverend George Leo Thomas, Ph.D. and Reverend Father Bob Stoeckig.

This Catholic Church is located right across the street from the Luxor Hotel & Casino on the south side of the Strip.

Featuring intricate stone sculptures, this 2,200-seater church is visited by thousands of locals and visitors alike. Open every day throughout the year, there is a daily 12:10 p.m. Mass available Monday through Saturday. There is also a Vigil Mass on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and 5 Masses on Saturday.

These Masses start at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and a Spanish-speaking Mass starts at 4 p.m. Can’t make it in person? Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer also has online and televised Mass options. Online Masses can be found through their online mass live stream and televised Mass airs on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on KFBT-TV Cox Channel 6. Led by Father Manuel Quintero.

Want to get away from the craziness of the Strip? A six-minute drive in the middle of Downtown Las Vegas, Hillsong Las Vegas is one of the many contemporary Christian churches located in 28 countries around the world. Lead by Pastors Terry and Judith Crist, they have one service every Sunday at 10 a.m. Can’t attend? Their online stream is available at 9 a.m. and on demand both on the Hillsong Las Vegas website and on the Hillsong Phoenix YouTube channel.

St. Joan of Arc Church

Another beautiful church located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, St. Joan of Arc Church can be found south of the famous Fremont Street.

The oldest active church in Las Vegas, this Roman Catholic Church has been around for more than a century. The courtyard contains a large statue of the Virgin Mary which is considered one of the most photographed statues in Las Vegas.

They have daily mass from Monday through Friday at 12:15 and also have confessions right before mass at 11:30 a.m. On First Fridays, they also have a special evening vigil starting at 6:30 p.m. with confessions starting at 5:45 p.m. Mass is led by Reverend Richard Philiposki SChr.

Valley Vegas Church

A 10-minute drive from the Strip, this Christian church offers three Sunday services. They start at 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. They also offer a mid-week service on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. They also offer multiple ministry groups such as a men’s group, women’s group, life groups and outreach groups. Led by Pastor Ron Vietti and Doug Loman.

Greater Fellowship Christian Church

Across the freeway from the Strip is the newer Greater Fellowship Christian Church. A five-minute drive away, this Christian church is located right next to the famous Vegas Chinatown, so food options after church are limitless.

This growing community organizes every Sunday at 10 a.m. in person and every Wednesday at 6 p.m. online for a midweek Bible study. Led by Pastor Donald R. Clay Sr.

Center for Spiritual Living Greater Las Vegas

On the other side of UNLV and a 10-minute drive from the Strip, the Center for Spiritual Living Greater Las Vegas is a unique church whose mission is to combine science, religion and philosophy into its teachings. They do not preach to a specific denomination, and they welcome all through teaching Science of Mind, an open system of thought drawing on “new frontiers of knowledge growing continually as humankind evolves.”

They offer in-person and online Sunday services at 10 a.m. with a meditation service at 9:30 a.m. They also offer online service on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Led by Reverent Laura Hallett.
