Diamond Dave is stepping back into the Vegas spotlight.

Nearly two years after launching his “David Lee Roth Rocks Vegas” residency at Mandalay Bay’s House of Blues, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Van Halen frontman has announced a new series of shows that will kick off with a New Year’s Eve performance, followed by four concerts in January 2022.

Pre-sale tickets to the performances go on sale September 28 at Ticketmaster and other sites, with tickets on sale to the general public October 2. As is customary in Las Vegas entertainment these days, Roth’s House of Blues residency comes with a number of high-end ticket packages. Among them, the “Hot for Teacher” package ($450) that comes with two tickets at a VIP table, a souvenir, and other perks; the “Panama” package ($550) that includes a dining voucher plus pre-and-post show access to Mandalay Bay’s Foundation Room; and the “Jump” package ($700) that features a prix-fixe Foundation Room dinner and one bottle of a premium spirit to enjoy during the show.

Roth’s return is something of a make-good for fans following the postponement of his residency in early 2020. He staged his first concerts in January of that year before returning to the road to open for KISS. Roth’s Vegas show was well-received by fans, but the six residency dates planned for March 2020 never materialized as the coronavirus pandemic shuttered the Las Vegas entertainment industry. The singer resumed live performances this month after taking more than a year off.
