DraftKings to Open Company’s Second-Largest Office in Las Vegas

UnCommons is set to open next year

Sports betting operator DraftKings will make its biggest move yet in Las Vegas when it debuts a 90,000-square-foot technology hub in 2022 at the UnCommons mixed-use development at Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway.

When it opens, DraftKings will have the largest presence at the in-progress complex, which offers a mix of retail, dining, office, and residential space. DraftKings plans to put more than 1,000 employees to work at the new office – its second-largest after the company’s Boston headquarters.

According to the announcement, DraftKings’ new technology hub will house “more than 130 dedicated sports trading desks surrounded by full multimedia walls, a 7,500-square-foot cafeteria and event space, a custom casino training pit, a 500-square-foot interactive putt-view putting green, private and public outdoor spaces, and mothers’ rooms.” Employees will also have access to everything from onsite haircuts and mani/pedis to a prayer suite.

The last one makes sense, as prayer is commonly associated with one’s fantasy picks.

DraftKings is already an established presence in Las Vegas, with a call center at Town Square and partnerships with Caesars Entertainment and UNLV’s Center for Gaming Innovation.

UnCommons is scheduled to open next year.
