What to Eat at Casa Playa

Culinary talent Executive Chef Sarah Thompson along with Wynn Resort Mixologist Marlena Mercer Boarini that mixes mezcal and tequila from agave expert Noah Arenstein’s collection, combined all their skills to develop cocktails and a menu that transports tastebuds to a Mexican seaside. Whether guests want to share a round of small plates or indulge in a feast, Casa Playa offers a variety of portions and tastings to try. When it comes to the perfect bite, here are some great choices to consider:

Appetizers

Black Truffle Tostada is packed with bold flavors. This appetizer is made with Cabot clothbound cheese and corn cream.

Duck Confit Tamal is a delish bite. A delectable dish, Duck Confit Tamal is prepared with mole de casa and ricotta cheese. 

The Octopus is a playful and adventurous tasting experience. Served with coloradito mole and potato in escabeche, this is a fun appetizer to share with friends on a night out.

Main Dishes

Whole Cauliflower Al Pastor is a shareable size featuring pineapple butter and cashew salsa macha.

Interested in going for some mouthwatering seafood fare? Casa Playa serves a Seafood Platter that consists of a little bit of everything including Kusshi oysters, king crab legs, lobster tails, Hokkaido scallops and shrimp cocktail.


For a refreshing bite, order the Mexican Blue Shrimp Ceviche. This seafood bite is made with tomatillo, coconut and cucumber. 


Relish in a delicate dish like the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare. This seasoned sensation is served with pasilla chile and fresh avocado.


Para La Mesa

Perfect for gatherings and celebrations, the Para La Mesa choices offer family style servings that also come with house-made tortillas and salsa.

With the larger portions, everyone can enjoy the flavors of Casa Playa’s Whole Roasted Carnitas. This savory meal comes with chipotle slaw, crispy skins, chile toreado, smoked agave syrup topped with charred cucumber salsa.

Experience a variety of bites when ordering the Casa Playa Surf and Turf. This family-sized menu choice includes wagyu carne asada, short rib suadero, lobster and chorizo, green chorizo plus serrano.

Other menu offerings worth noting are the squash blossom quesadilla, queso fundido served with housemade chorizo and baja fried fish tacos.

What to Drink at Casa Playa

Pair a tasty meal with a succulent sip crafted by Wynn’s Mixologist Marlena Mercer Baorini. Whether you prefer a cooling margarita or a sweet mixed drink, Casa Playa serves up dynamic cocktails that are the perfect accompaniment to any dish.

Two must-try margaritas are Forbidden Fruit–a frozen margarita mixed with El Tosoro Blanco, chamoy caramel, mango, lime garnished with mango trinity salt; and Temple of Doom–a margarita made with Mal Bien Espada Mezcal, grilled pineapple, chipotle and a splash of lime.

For mixed drinks, sip and savor the flavor of an Ojo Tiger–an inventive cocktail with Uncle Nearest Bourbon, Patrón Roca Añejo Tequila, salted peanut marzipan and plantain; another noteworthy option is the City of Dawn–a smooth libation mixed with Grey Goose Essence Watermelon Basil Vodka and cooling cucumber mint agua fresca.


Casa Playa also serves a specially curated selection of alcoholic beverages by agave expert Noah Arenstein to try. For those going with a group, some bottles that are highlights on the list include: Fuenteseca 18 Yr. Tequila, Neta Mezcal Tepextate, Fuenteseca 18 Yr. Tequila plus Vago Mezcal Tobala de Aquilino–a limited offer that is part of a 125 bottle batch that is only offered at Casa Playa. The exclusivity may be reason enough to indulge in this bottle before they are sold out for those who are looking for a special spirit.
