Attend Free Halloween Shows in Downtown Summerlin this October

Watch family-friendly spooky spectacles this fall

By Melissa Gill | Las Vegas, NV | Downtown Summerlin

For free, family-friendly Halloween fun, haunt Downtown Summerlin this October to watch the “Parade of Mischief” and “The Addams Family A Musical” this spooktacular season. It’s a treat, not a trick, I assure you.

‘Parade of Mischief’

Presented by SelectHealth® and supported by BESTAgency, the Halloween festivity, “Parade of Mischief,” returns this year. Every Friday and Saturday night in October starting at 7 p.m. the streets of Downtown Summerlin will overflow with “dancing zombies, ghosts, witches, wizards, wild creatures and a rockin’ dead skeleton band.” I foresee a night of enchanting costumes, spellbinding performances and wonderfully weird moments.

Halee Mason, marketing director, Downtown Summerlin, said in a statement, “’Parade of Mischief’ was a fan favorite in 2019 and we are thrilled to welcome it back this year.”

‘The Addams Family A New Musical’

Another equally exciting free Halloween festivity, conjured up by Dynamic Productions and Dance Dynamics, will be “The Addams Family A New Musical” showing from Thursday, October 28 to Sunday, October 31 on The Lawn in Downtown Summerlin.

In the musical, the Addams Family embraces their offbeat charm during a “comical feast” where a grown-up Wednesday Addams falls in love with a smart, respectable “normal” person that her parents have never met. She pleads to her father, Gomez Addams, to keep it secret from her mother, Morticia Addams. However, everything changes when Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend is invited over for dinner to meet her parents for the first time. Will her boyfriend find delight or be struck by fright meeting her kooky family?

The infectious theme song is already playing in my head and I’m fighting the urge to snap my fingers.
