Gwen Stefani Donates $185K To Cure 4 The Kids

The Vegas headliner donates $1 from every ticket sold to the non-profit foundation

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation just got a donation that was ‘hella good.’ A check from Las Vegas headliner Gwen Stefani to the tune of $185,000 bucks was made to the non-profit. The donation is bittersweet. Sweet because the donated money is very much needed. And bitter, because it’s one of the final indicators of Stefani’s stay in Vegas before she makes ‘the sweet escape.’

BACK TO THE BEGINNING

The shortimer headliner has been donating $1 dollar of every ticket bought to her “Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl” residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino since it opened in June of 2018. This most recent donation will be Stefani’s last as she is ending her residency at the Zappos Theater on November 6. On hand to present the check with Stefani to Annette Logan-Parker, CEO and Founder of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation was Jason Gregorec, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars Entertainment’s Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The partnership between Stefani and Cure 4 The Kids was one that almost immediately upon her taking up residence in the Valley.  Gwen visited the foundation in 2019 taking a tour of the facilities. While there, she got to see one of the murals that she inspired. To say the room is b-a-n-a-n-a-s  is an understatement. Local artist Juan Muniz painted Gwen in the mural that paid homage to her and later posted pictures with Muniz in the room.

But, while she was there, she also helped to dedicate the new location on One Breakthrough Way. Also in 2019, Gwen received the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation Philanthropist of the Year Award.

CURE 4 THE KIDS FOUNDATION

The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation provides medical treatment to kids who are battling cancer and other life threatening diseases. As the only outpatient childhood cancer treatment center in the entire state, it’s easy to see that the need is a monumental one. Particularly because treatment is based on a sliding scale basis. In other words, no patient is ever turned away for financial reasons.

To add your donation to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation you can get all of their information at www.cure4thekids.org. And as a bonus, since the foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, your donation is tax deductible. According to the Cure 4 Kids, the most recent donation by Stefani has allowed  the expansion of lab capabilities to provide the necessary tests to their fragile patient population.

FINAL CURTAIN BOW

As for the “Gwen Stefani – Just a Girl” residency, it will drop the final curtain in less than a week. Tickets for shows through November 6 may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com/gwen. All shows begin at 9 p.m.
