AGT’s iLuminate Comes to Vegas and Lights Up The Strat Theater

‘Get lit through the ages’ on the Strip

By Melissa Gill

Blending a variety of dance, music, comedy and light effects, America’s Got Talent iLuminate (pronounced “i” “luminate”) is set to electrify The Strat Theater this coming August.

Back in 2009, dancer and software engineer Miral Kotb founded the dynamic group iLuminate. Following this creative conception, the group has collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown and the Black Eyed Peas. iLuminate became finalists on America’s Got Talent and have appeared on several popular television programs including Good Morning America and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

iLuminate’s new residency at The Strat aims to engage viewers in an interactive journey through a multisensory experience featuring a montage of different styles of dance and music. The show’s premise is for the audience to “get lit through the ages” on a night out. The glowing artists perform their show in the dark to conjure a visually stimulating spectacle.

West Hyler, the iLuminate’s co-director, brings to the team his experiences working previously with established productions such as Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour and Jersey Boys. The creative team for the show also includes Kevin Teasley as the musical director. Teasley comes to the team having worked previously with Vegas headliners Jennifer Lopez and Usher. For choreography, iLuminate has Emmy award-winning Al Blackstone (“So You Think You Can Dance”), dynamite creative Ray Leeper, and Josh Smith, whose creds include Lil Nas X, BTS and Chris Brown, to elevate the show’s music and moves to a whole new level.

iLuminate officially takes the stage for their first performance at The Strat Theater on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Performances will run Wednesday through Monday at 10 p.m. Tickets start at $49, plus additional taxes and fees. Purchase tickets through The Strat’s site or in person at their box office. Guests attending the show must be 16 years of age or older.
