Journey Gives Vegas a Limited Engagement in December
By: Toni Gonzales
Legendary rock band Journey has announced a limited engagement in Las Vegas. The brand spankin’ new Theater at Virgin Hotels will be the site of six shows starting on December 1 and going through the 11th.
The group made up of Neal Schon (lead guitarist), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Randy Jackson (bass), Narada Michael Walden (drums) and Jason Derlatka (Keyboards), will rock your backside off for less than $70 (plus taxes of course, this is Las Vegas afterall) and go on sale Friday, August 20. And, as usual there are several VIP packages available.
Take a, ahem, journey, through hits like, “Faithfully,” “Don’t Stop Believin,”and “Wheel in the Sky,” as the rockers take to the stage and perform more of their greatest hits.
For the young ones out there Journey is a big deal. They have sold nearly 100 million albums. They have been streamed over a billion times for one single song, “Don’t Stop Believin.” They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and were one of the most successful tours, along with Def Leppard in 2018.
In the meantime Journey is headlining the Tunnels to Towers Foundation Benefit Show with fellow Vegas band The Chainsmokers on August 21. Also a part of that festival is Vegas headliner John Fogerty.
