Kristin Chenoweth Rings in 2022 with NYE Show at The Smith Center

The show honors great women singers including Vegas headliner Reba McEntire

Vegas will not be suffering from a lack of celebrations this New Year’s Eve. It seems as if everyone wants to shake off 2021 and our city is the place to do it. One place you may want to consider ringing in the New Year is at The Smith Center. The Smith Center you say? Yes. The Smith Center. That is where Kristin Chenoweth will be hitting high note after high note.

Broadway Legend Honors Great Female Singers

The littlest lady from Broadway is hitting the stage in support of her latest album “For The Girls.” That record pays tribute to great female singers and includes Vegas headliner Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton and Jennifer Hudson. You can expect to hear anecdotes and songs from this latest album in her live New Year’s Eve performance.

“I can’t wait to get back to The Smith Center in Las Vegas,” said Chenoweth in a statement. “It’s going to be a real show with two background singers, a full band and exciting choreography – a terrific way to start off 2022!”

Chenoweth has mass appeal with fans from both Broadway, television and film. Broadway buffs have come to revere 4’11” beauty since her development of Glinda in “Wicked,” for which she received a Tony nomination. It was her role in “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” that brought the Tony hardware home.

Kristin Chenoweth’s More Than A Triple Threat

On the television side she has most recently been seen in the Apple TV hit “Schmigadoon” as the sinister Mildred Layton and as a mentor on Ariana Grande’s team on the newest season of “The Voice.” It was her role in “Pushing Daisies,” that made her an Emmy winner.

Chenoweth is also a writer. She penned “A Little Bit Wicked,” in 2009. The book debuted on the “New York Times” Bestseller List.

Chenoweth’s Charitable Contributions

Though Chenoweth is small in stature, she has a big heart. Her charitable contributions include a partnership with the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center Foundation in her home state of Oklahoma.

Tickets for the New Year’s Eve show at The Smith Center are on now. You can get more information at thesmithcenter.com. And a quick FYI, the show time is 7:30 p.m.
