Bet You Wish Nelly Would Come to Your Vegas Birthday

Drai’s VP of Entertainment, Dustin Drai, celebrated his 28th birthday with 'Hot in Herre' rapper

Remember your 28th birthday in Vegas? That time you and your friends went out, got smashed at the club, and ate Fatburger at 2 a.m.? That was great, and no one can take that away from you.

Oh, by the way, did you hear how Drai’s VP of Entertainment, Dustin Drai, celebrated his 28th birthday in Vegas? He went to the club, just like you, only he got to party with Nelly. Yeah, that Nelly. “Hot In Herre” Nelly. “Air Force Ones” Nelly. “Dilemma” Nelly. Oh, that one’s a classic.

The “Ride Wit Me” hero headlined at Drai’s Nightclub over the weekend, then joined in the celebration alongside the Drai’s Dolls, a massive cake, and some of those Fathead cutouts – you know you’ve made it when dressed-in-less ladies are waving cardboard images of your face around the club.

Friday – Sunday

10 p.m. – 3 a.m. Tickets and Table Reservations: draisgroup.com.

Drai, the nightlife wunderkind and son of Drai’s founder Victor Drai, enters Year 28 as one of Las Vegas’ “40 Under 40” and a forward-thinker when it comes to nightlife programming. The family’s namesake nightclub on the rooftop of The Cromwell has become a haven for hip-hop in recent years – an intentional deviation from the EDM trend that dominates much of the Strip’s late night scene.

Hip-Hop Haven

Alongside the aforementioned Nelly, Drai’s boasts an all-star resident talent roster that includes Ludacris, Fabolous, Lil Baby, Gucci Mane, Da Baby, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean, with full-length concerts and big-time themes such as Halloween weekend’s Matrix party starring Jeezy (October 29), five-time Grammy winner Lil Wayne (October 30), and the just-announced Joyner Lucas on Halloween (October 31).

Then There’s After Hours

It’s hard to fathom but there was a time when Las Vegans were starving for nightlife. Ask your friends that have lived in the city for a long time, and they might share some fond memories of places like The Beach or Baby’s. Remember Baby’s?

Dustin Drai was just a lad when his father debuted Drai’s After Hours in pre-millennium Las Vegas, and though it turns 25 next year, there’s no signs of age inside the club. This week, Drai’s announced that it will bring back its famed “Imagine” parties beginning with the WWE-themed “Drai’s Mania” blast on November 3.

The monthly themed celebration gives guests a chance to dress in costume after Halloween, which is something that should become a normal thing. The upcoming “Imagine” lineup looks like this:

  • Wednesday, November 3 – Drai’s Mania
  • Wednesday, December 1 – Winter Wonderland
  • Wednesday, January 5 – Studio 93
  • Wednesday, February 2 – Space Invasion
  • Wednesday, March 2 – DraiWatch
