Typically it’s unusual to promote a special event weeks before it takes place. But, when it’s as popular as Oscar’s Dinner Series at Oscar’s Steakhouse, you make an exception.

Oscar Goodmans, former Las Vegas Mayor and mob attorney, has scheduled his ever popular dinner series for September 22 and the person at the center of it will be Frank Rosenthal. For the newbies to Vegas history, Frank Rosenthal, a.k.a. “Lefty”, was the source of inspiration for the Martin Scorsese movie, Casino. His nickname came from him invoking the Fifth Amendment while under other oath 37 times – including to the question, “are you left-handed?” Fuhgeddaboudit.

That is just some of the good that you’ll get on Lefty at Oscar’s Dimmer Series. The night includes cocktails at 6 p.m. and a three-course dinner at 7 p.m. all while the big bulbs of Fremont glow around you at the Plaza Hotel. Oscar will weave yarns about his time as an attorney for alleged mob members. If you have ever wanted to hear, “when I was a mob lawyer in Vegas…” this is your chance. But that chance isn’t free.

Tickets for the series are sold in parties of two, four, and six, and start at three-hundred bills (that’s $300 in mob speak). For more information or to get your tickets before they sell out go to the Plaza website.
