'Get Over Here' for Mortal Kon on September 18 and 19

Player 1 Video Game Bar and Battlefront Games beckons all Mortal Kombat fans to “Get Over Here” for their Mortal Kombat Convention (Mortal Kon) on September 18 and 19 from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. on both days.

The two day fest invites guests to meet six of the original video game actors from Mortal Kombat with the opportunity for photos and autograph signings plus the original comic artist, participation in a free Mortal Kombat Tournament, cosplay tournament, a video game tournament for charity, karaoke, live DJ performances and more.


Come Ready to Play with Mortal Kon Stars

Mortal Kon fans will have a chance to meet and greet six of the motion capture artists from the popular game including: Daniel Pesina (Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub Zero), JohnParrish (Jax), Philip Anh (Shang Tsung), Brian Glynn (Shao Kahn), Ho Sung Pak ( Liu Kang, also Raphael from TMNT 2 and 3),  and Anthony Marquez (Kung Lao).


Along with the stars from the game, fans also will get a chance to meet Patrick Rolo, the original Mortal Kombat comic artist returning from his 20 year hiatus, R.A. Mihailoff, the horror legend that starred as Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 plus Keith Burgess, the voice of Akuma from Street Fighter Alpha. All weekend long jams will spin by Fallen Angels Entertainment.


‘Chip Damage’ aka Costs

“Test Your Might!”  There are a limited number of free general admissions that are on a first come, first serve basis. Player 1 Bar charges a $5 entry fee. For guaranteed general admissions, prices start at $20. Two day passes plus two beverage drink tickets are $35.

For fans that want the ultimate Mortal Kombat experience, there are more exclusive options worth checking out.

  • Cosplay photo opportunities with each individual Mortal Kombat star that include an autograph for $50. 
  • Group cosplay photos with the motion capture artists costs $300, which includes an original poster illustration by the OG comic artist himself, Patrick Rolo. The Mortal Kombat comic artist also will be signing comics and sketching art all weekend.
  • Snapshots with Leatherface for a rare Insta-worthy photo are $100. 
  • Along with the Mortal Kombat photo opps, guests also may get a special bundle of an autograph, photo and a show exclusive event poster from none other than the Marvel Comic artist Mark Evans. 
  • Wilson Tortosa, Wolverine Manga and Battle of the Planets comic artist will also be providing art for additional exclusive posters featuring Mortal Kombat’s Akuma and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Raphael.
