Red Rock Resort Reveals New Developments Throughout the Casino

The Summerlin luxury resort adds new restaurants and entertainment offerings

In case you missed it, Red Rock Resort recently announced they are undergoing a casino-wide transformation. Exciting additions to the Stations Casino property include new dining, entertainment and gaming experiences.

Scott Nelson, vice president and general manager of Red Rock Casino, elaborated on the latest announcement in a statement.

“It is an exciting time for Red Rock Casino as we welcome the Lotus of Siam family to Summerlin and showcase the many dining, gaming and entertainment enhancements coming to the resort,” says Scott Nelson. “This stunning transformation will usher in the next era for the property, and we are confident these new amenities are going to be a hit with locals and visitors alike.”

While we wait for the resort’s new additions, here’s a breakdown of Red Rock Casino’s redesign.

Fresh Dining Experiences at Red Rock

The Summerlin luxury resort will soon feature Lotus of Siam, Naxos Taverna and an oyster bar named Kallisto.

Most foodies in town know of Lotus Siam, a Thai restaurant that has received recognition from the Food Network, Travel Channel and other national publications. To bring this popular restaurant to the resort, the casino partnered with Bua Food Group owners Penny Chutima and Lou Abin.

The latest Lotus of Siam strives to remain authentic and maintain its warm hospitality while serving food derived from family tradition. The Thai restaurant is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Naxos Taverna will be a new Greek restaurant serving primarily seafood inspired cuisines while the oyster bar, Kallisto, will offer fresh seafood dishes at its 13-seat bar. The oyster bar will be at the front of Naxos Taverna. And the Greek restaurant will be next to Lotus of Siam.

In addition, the resort will open a second Starbucks location for in the hotel lobby. The other Starbucks in the food court will also be reimagined with a refreshing new look.

Another local favorite coming to Red Rock is Nielsen’s Frozen Custard. The first and original location in Henderson will expand with its forthcoming venue in Summerlin. For over 40 years, the custard shop has been a sweet spot for locals to enjoy quality-driven desserts. Nielsen’s Frozen Custard’s second location will debut early 2023.

The new food and beverage venues will be on the north side of the resort. The Summerlin haven’s culinary collection grows as it continues to acquire more elevated restaurants. However, the restaurant advancements are only part of the property’s transformation.

Expanding Recreational Offerings

The resort’s expansion also includes more options for leisure. Part of their vision includes a cocktail lounge, an adults-only pool, a casino bar and renovating the High Limit Slots area.

Crimson, previously an event space, will become a high-end cocktail lounge. The update to the venue, which is currently under construction, aims to channel a classy, intimate ambiance. The throwback lounge is slated to open this winter.

Speaking of Crimson, the former Crimson pool will convert into an adults-only oasis offering an upscale pool lounge near Red Rock Resort’s main pool. The pool lounge is expected to be ready by the next pool season.

For drinks, an additional casino bar will be positioned between Lotus of Siam and Naxos Taverna. This arrangement is ideal for guests seeking a hangout to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails or drinks while playing games.

Upgrades for the High Limit Slots room, aside from the new table games that debuted in May, will be 73 popular games, a sophisticated bar and a cashier cage.
