‘Weekends With Adele’ Brings Superstar to Las Vegas, At Last

We’ll see your Celine, and raise you Adele.

In the ongoing poker game to determine Las Vegas Strip supremacy, Caesars just pulled an ace
with a capital ‘A’ – and everyone saw it coming. The rumors of an Adele residency are as old as
2021 at this point, but that takes nothing away from the sheer triumph of landing one of the
world’s biggest stars to perform on your biggest stage.

Adele is coming to Las Vegas in 2022, where she’ll perform “Weekends With Adele“, a Friday-
Saturday residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The superstar, currently riding a
mega tsunami of good buzz over her just-released album, “30,” will begin her residency on Friday,
January 21 and perform four straight weekends before taking a one-week break (when Van Morrison
comes to town) and returning February 25 for another eight-week run, wrapping on Saturday,
April 16.

We’ll save you the counting – that’s 24 chances to see Adele.

The OG Home for Residency Shows

The 4,300-seat Colosseum will forever be recognized for ushering in the modern era of Strip
residencies with Celine Dion’s A New Day back in 2003, but the competition came on strong in
recent years. MGM signed the likes of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Janet Jackson to play Dolby
Live at Park MGM (formerly Park Theater), and even Celine herself has moved over to The
Theatre at Resorts World, which she’ll share with Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and,
if you believe the widely-reported rumors of a pending announcement, Michael Bublé.

The Colosseum countered with Usher’s residency over the summer, and Sting just launched his
“My Songs” show at the venue in October. Those are big time names, but right now it doesn’t get
any bigger than Adele. Maybe Taylor Swift, but, as it’s been pointed out, 30 became the top-
selling album of 2021 in just three days, topping Tay Tay’s “Red (Taylor’s Version)” and “Evermore.”

It’s also been 10 years since Adele performed on the Strip, so the wait has been unbearable. The
singer last did her thing at The Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea ballroom (the theater wasn’t even
finished!) in August 2011, just after the resort opened. That’s several lifetimes ago, and for
Adele, it was pre-Skyfall, pre-Oscar, pre-motherhood, pre-divorce – she and her Vegas fans have
a lot to catch up on.

But will they get a chance?

Presale Hoop-Jumping and the Waiting Game

So, here’s what it’s going to be like trying to get a seat for “Weekends With Adele.” Fans have until
December 2 to register for presale tickets using Ticketmaster Verified Fan. When you register,
you’re able to choose your preferred performance date and three additional dates. Then,
Ticketmaster will send a code to your phone to complete the registration.

This guarantees nothing. It’s akin to raising your hand in the middle of a sold-out Colosseum and
saying, “I’d like a ticket please.”

If you’re selected to participate in the presale, Ticketmaster will contact you via email on
December 6 to let you know that you’ll have a chance to purchase tickets when the “Verified Fan
Presale” starts December 7.

So it’s basically a lottery. If you win, you’ll see Adele. If you don’t, you better make friends with a
winner fast.
