Whitney Houston Hologram Show to Debut at Harrah’s Las Vegas

'An Evening with Whitney' debuts on October 26

Whitney Houston last performed in Las Vegas in 2004 for the World Music Awards. If the singer were alive today, she would certainly have been sought for a residency on the Strip.

That didn’t happen, as Houston died in 2012. But beginning October 26, Las Vegas will get a glimpse of what could have been, when the long-discussed, long-anticipated “An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert” makes its debut at Harrah’s Las Vegas.

What’s a hologram concert? It’s exactly as it sounds. Houston will be recreated on stage through hologram technology, performing her greatest hits while backed by a live band, singers, and dancers.

The tribute concert arrives in Las Vegas after nearly a year of touring in Europe, and easily searchable YouTube videos give you an idea of what it looks like, with Houston’s voice serenading the crowd as her image is projected on stage. The hologram show features several wardrobe transformations as Houston transitions between tracks that include “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “I’m Every Woman,” and her iconic cover of “I Will Always Love You,” among others.
