Zouk Group welcomes its first guests into the 26,000-square-foot pleasure palace
For weeks now, clubgoers at Resorts World Las Vegas have wandered past the in-progress Zouk Nightclub space thinking, “What’s going to happen in there?”
The waiting and wondering ends September 17, when Zouk Group welcomes its first guests into the 26,000-square-foot pleasure palace. Announced in 2020, the club will serve as the “mothership” and Vegas headquarters for the Singapore-born nightlife brand, which already has the Redtail bar, FUHU eatery, and Ayu Dayclub up and running at Resorts World.
So who gets the call on opening night? Of course, it’s Key to the Strip recipient Tiësto, the highest-profile signing on Zouk’s Vegas roster and the world’s second-highest paid DJ (after OMNIA headliner Calvin Harris). The Dutch DJ is riding a wave of good buzz after dropping his latest single — a collaboration with Karol G titled “Don’t Be Shy” — earlier this month, and he’ll go opening night before swinging back around for an encore performance on September 25.
The second night of Zouk’s opening weekend, September 18, belongs to 24-year-old actress/singer Becky G, who made her Resorts World debut earlier this summer at Ayu Dayclub. Like Tiësto, Becky G (real name Rebbeca Gomez) dropped her latest track, “Only One,” over the summer.
Secrets Revealed
For the most part, Zouk Group has kept to secrecy as it readies the nightclub for its Las Vegas debut, though we know it will be a multi-experience venue – not uncommon for Strip megaclubs – that includes, in addition to the main room, the Captain Bar and Empire Room. Upon opening, Zouk Nightclub will operate Thursdays through Saturdays, and guests will be required to wear masks indoors unless they are eating or drinking.
Tickets to the opening round of Zouk shows, which includes performances by 21-year-old international headliner MADDS and “Never Enough” duo Disclosure, can be purchased at the Zouk Nightclub website.
