Get to Know Our Insta BFF Las Vegas’ Resident DJ E-Rock

Ever find someone cool on Instagram and 'go down the rabbit hole'? Meet Las Vegas' Resident DJ and Radio Personality DJ E-Rock

OTS Staff: Hi! Will you be our Insta BFF?

DJ E-ROCK: Why Wouldn’t I? Of course!

OTS Staff: By day, you are …

DJ E-Rock: I am a business owner, radio personality, content creator, marketer for Zen and dabble into work for the San Francisco 49ers.

DJ E-Rock: I hope I didn’t forget anything there. 🫠 I definitely have a lot of irons in the fire.

OTS Staff: Wow! That sounds exciting.

DJ E-Rock: It can be exhausting at times, but when you love what you do, you never “work” a day.

OTS Staff: Absolutely! 😊

OTS Staff: By night, you are …

DJ E-ROCK: Resident DJ

OTS Staff: What was your first post?

DJ E-ROCK: WOW, that was some time ago. I want to say my first Instagram post was some kind of artsy presentation of a Nintendo controller when I first got on Instagram. My Father was a photographer at heart so I figured I’d use Insta as a way for us to bond through pictures.

OTS Staff: That’s really cool that Insta was a way to bond with your father. Which Nintendo game is your favorite?

DJ E-ROCK: Double Dragon, the entire series. Contra will come in at a respectable second.

OTS Staff: Nice!

OTS Staff: What is your top post? And why do you think it almost broke the internet?

DJ E-Rock: As of lately it would have to be an article of my permanent move to the city of Las Vegas. I had been traveling in and out for a decade plus for shows and events to where it just made sense. This became my home before I really made the move. I think people really loved that post because it was such a big full circle moment in my life.

OTS Staff: That’s really cool! Full circle moments are so special. What do you love most about Las Vegas?

DJ E-Rock: It’s the easiest city to live in. You have a family atmosphere with hints of a big city feel. It’s perfectly balanced. On top of that, being close to my immediate family doesn’t hurt at all. (All moved here during the pandemic).

OTS Staff: Which song and/or artist is your latest obsession?

DJ E-Rock: Kendrick Lamar’s new album just dropped the other day and “Die Hard” featuring Blxst seems to be on repeat in my car at the moment. Being that I just moved here from L.A, it brings back those great L.A-esque moments that feel great.

OTS Staff: Kendrick and Blxst are so talented! That album is 🔥

OTS Staff: What’s your favorite thing about Instagram?

DJ E-Rock: That you are able to communicate with your peers, colleagues, fans all at once. Whatever it is, however you need to express yourself—it’s a platform that allows you to be heard and SEEN!

OTS Staff: Yes! 🙌 When you aren’t working, what do you like to do for fun?

DJ E-Rock: I play way too much Call of Duty, but so do my peers! Huge gamer here, very intense at times. Otherwise, [I] love spending time with my family, my close friends, drinking coffee, traveling, exercising, etc.

DJ E-Rock: Lol

DJ E-Rock: Huge sports fanatic as well.

OTS Staff: That’s awesome! Games are a great way to unwind. And quality time with family and friends is always a great way to make memories. Yes! Vegas’s sports scene is thriving.

OTS Staff: Would you leave Insta for TikTok?

DJ E-Rock: I’m loyal! I do have a TikTok, but I find myself spending more time here than there.

OTS Staff: What’s the secret to a great ‘gram?

DJ E-Rock: Be authentic and true to you while being kind and considerate of the community.

OTS Staff: Love! We couldn’t agree more 😊 What’s the top challenge of being an Insta Influencer?

DJ E-Rock: Overthinking the “influencer” part. Just have fun. Speak on the things you believe in. Be you, do you. It’s not that serious. Create content you love creating. Authenticity.

OTS Staff: Who’s your fave brand and/or artist collab with right now?

DJ E-Rock: Brand wise, big Stone Island guy lately, Carhartt WIP and Nike always stays in the rotation. Artist collab wise, Nike and Travis Scott seem to always hit it out the park sneaker wise for me—I know there are some new releases on the horizon.

OTS Staff: Who’s in your DMs?

DJ E-Rock: Off The Strip at the moment, duh!

DJ E-Rock: 😭😭😭

OTS Staff: Tag a bestie!

DJ E-Rock: @jordanhattar @koapaden

OTS Staff: Thank you so much! It was a blast chatting with you 😊

DJ E-Rock: Always great chatting with you!
