5 Craziest Super Bowl Sunday Props from Las Vegas Sportsbooks

What props are catching your eye for Super Bowl LV and beyond?

By Raymond Harrison

Super Bowl LV is fast approaching, and with it comes the biggest sports-betting day of the year.

From the professional bettors to the casual fans, almost everyone seems to have some sort of action on the game. An estimated $154.7 million was wagered on Super Bowl LIV at Nevada sportsbooks in 2020.

Part of this relates to the vast number of prop bets offered for the Super Bowl. Instead of betting on what team is going to win, you can bet on obscure things like the halftime show and what commercials air first.

I will be going over some of the wildest prop bets you can find at Nevada sportsbooks ahead of The Big Game. Offshore sportsbooks offer the truly wild and wacky props, but our local books also have some fun ones.

Let’s dive in.

Super Bowl Squares

Where to bet it: Circa Sports

Circa Sports is doing an online edition of a classic Super Bowl betting game—the score squares. I’ll attach a picture from Circa’s prop sheet below as an example.

So, the sheet is all about the last digits of both teams’ scores. If you think the score at the end of the first quarter is going to be 7-7, you would bet on square #6578.

Circa is offering the squares for every quarter of the game, and the minimum bets are just $1, meaning anyone can take part in the fun. There is also no limit to the amount of squares you can bet, nor do you have to pick the same outcome for each quarter.

The odds are different for every quarter, so bettors will want to see what gives them the best value. Overall, this is a brilliant COVID-19-friendly revamp of a game you would play while watching the Super Bowl at a sports bar.

Gamble on the Golden Knights

Where to bet it: Westgate Superbook

Coincidentally, the Vegas Golden Knights also play on Super Bowl Sunday, so Westgate is offering tons of props that feature the local team.

Here are some examples:

Who will have more?

Vegas Golden Knights Goals+120
Mike Evans Receptions-140

Who will have more?

Mark Stone Points-130
Travis Kelce Touchdowns+110

A full list of the hockey-football crossover props is available on the Westgate prop sheet. You can cheer on the Golden Knights in the afternoon and have them win you some money watching the Super Bowl!

NBA Player Props

Where to bet it: William Hill

On the topic of sport crossovers, William Hill is offering props related to Sunday’s NBA action.

You can bet on the performance of some of basketball’s biggest stars versus what occurs between the Chiefs and Buccaneers.

Who will have more?

Giannis Antetokounmpo Points (-0.5)-110
Shortest Field Goal Made (+0.5)-110

Who will have more?

LeBron James Points + Rebounds + Assists-110
Patrick Mahomes Pass Attempts-110

These props are ideal for the multi-sport lovers who plan to be in front of the television all day. A full list of the NBA/NFL props can be found on William Hill’s prop sheet.

Lucky Jersey Numbers

Where to bet it: Caesars Palace

If the multi-sport bets are not your thing, how about betting on jersey numbers? Caesars Palace is offering props on the jersey number of the first touchdown scorer. The odds are:

Jersey #1-12+375
Jersey #12-20+180
Jersey #21-30+340
Jersey #31-80+1000
Jersey #81-99+325

The 12-20 segment covers Patrick Mahomes, Sammy Watkins, Tom Brady, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, making it the shortest odds on the slate.

However, if we see a creative play call with an offensive lineman or a defensive touchdown, the 31-80 bettors could see a hefty payday.

Gatorade Shower Colors

Where to bet it: BetMGM

Of course, I could not end this list without including the Holy Grail of Super Bowl prop bets: the color of the Gatorade shower.

It is a time-honored NFL tradition that the winning coach of the Super Bowl is doused by a tidal wave of Gatorade.

Since Super Bowl 35, orange has been the prevailing color of choice for the victory soak, happening five times. Due to this, orange has the lowest odds for Super Bowl LV on BetMGM.

What color will the Gatorade be?

Orange+140
Red/Pink+300
Yellow/Green+500
Clear+800
Purple+800

When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl last season, they drenched Andy Reid with a cooler of orange Gatorade. Will history repeat itself?

Either way, it is a timeless betting prop that always adds fun to the Super Bowl viewing experience.
