The holidays are about three things: where to shop, where to eat and where to drink (and maybe friends and family too). Las Vegas bars, restaurants and holiday-pops are doing their best to roll out inventive seasonal cocktails. Which recipes deserve your attention this winter? Read on to find out.

Pumpkin Spiced Carajillo – Rosina

Rosina is best known for pristine presentations of classic cocktails and secret menus, but the intimate Palazzo lounge is putting some spice into the season with the Pumpkin Spiced Carajillo, made with Tito’s vodka, espresso, pumpkin spiced syrup and freshly grated cinnamon.

Kissing Mrs. Claus – Park on Fremont

Park on Fremont is now known as the Naughty Nutcracker with festive, whimsical decor for winter. Kissing Mrs. Claus is a unique sweet-and-salty mix of Salted Caramel Kiss vodka, Salted Caramel Kahlua, cream and coffee, topped with whipped cream, salt and a caramel drizzle.

Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer – Vegas Vickie’s

Head to Circa on Fremont Street, where Vegas Vickie’s is serving Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer, a warm combination of hot chocolate, bitters, ancho reyes, Jameson Black Barrel and vanilla cream. It’s one of two cocktail options on the Dashing Through the Bars holiday crawl between bars at three Downtown hotels.

Pomegranate Margarita – Cabo Wabo Cantina

Sammy Hagar’s party spot is showing off a few new holiday cocktails on the menu. The Pomegranate Margarita at Cabo Wabo Cantina includes Cazadores blanco tequila, pomegranate syrup, triple sec, lime juice and sweet and sour mix, served in a martini glass with a sugar rim and lime wheel.

Jolly Koala – Sand Dollar Lounge

The Sand Dollar Lounge is spending the holidays as Miracle on Spring Mountain with a full lineup of themed craft cocktails. The chocolatey Jolly Koala is made with bourbon, cacao nib aperitif, dry vermouth, mulled wine reduction and mole bitters. You’re welcome to keep the mini koala that snaps onto the glass. Try the drink with a slice of pizza.

Wintergreen Sangria – Saffron

Pair the delicious vegetarian cuisine of Saffron with a selection from the restaurant’s holiday drink menu. Our top pick is the combination of red wine and fresh fruit in the Wintergreen Sangria.

Mistletoe Mule – Sugar Factory

The Sugar Factory has an elaborate new location at Harmon Center with a new spin on a Moscow Mule for the holidays. The Mistletoe Mule is a sweet mix of cherry vodka, ginger beer, cranberry juice and fresh lime, served in a goblet with gummy Christmas wreaths and gummy cherries.

Mocha Snowball – Shady Grove Lounge

The Shady Grove Lounge at the Silverton casino has transformed into the festive Bad Elf pop-up bar for the season. Grab a seat by the fireplace and enjoy the Mocha Snowball with marshmallow vodka, Godiva white chocolate and coffee with a candy cane rim and a marshmallow as garnish.

Rudolph’s Root Beer – Madame Tussaud’s

The Hangover Bar (inspired by the movie of the same name) inside Madame Tussaud’s wax museum is now serving holiday cocktails. Rudolph’s Root Beer is a sparkling blend of vodka, root beer schnapps, Bailey’s and Pepsi that’s topped with a red candy nose. Two dollars from each sale is donated to the Merlin’s Magic Wand children’s charity.

Italian Hot Cider – Al Solito Posto

Bar Delle Meraviglie on the patio at Al Solito Posto is serving fresh-baked holiday cookies and a selection of winter cocktails. The mulled Italian Hot Cider comes alive with Pedro Ximenez, Evan Willliams single-barrel whiskey, orange peels, cloves, and other fall spices.
