Believe it or not Christmas is but a few days away. Feels like it was just last week we were making fun of the release of pumpkin spice this or that while the temps were still in the high 90s. Well, if you are having trouble staying in the holiday spirit or even getting into the holiday spirit give the latest seasonal show at the Venetian a look see.

It’s called, “This is Christmas” and it will make your spirits brighter and get your shoes tappin’. The Christmas show features a live band that helps to set the tone for your favorite holiday songs, some songs that aren’t always on repeat this time of year and even original tunes.

Who’s Who In ‘This Is Christmas’

But, because this is Vegas, there are some pretty big names in the cast. They include Broadway star Diana DeGarmo, Lou Gazzara, Jasmine Trias, Laura Suzanne Wright, Ace Young – all of whom come from “American Idol.” Also in the cast, award-winning dance duo Alejandro Domingo and Sarah Le Clear, award-winning Broadway star Randal Keith, Las Vegas headliner Jaclyn McSpadden, and British singer and entertainer Ben Stone (who has a great rendition of John Lennon’s “This is Christmas”).

Along with DeGarmo, the biggest standout (at least at the performance OTS caught) is Scrooge who is played by Randal Keith. And Holy Batman, he can belt out a ballad. It should come as no surprise that he spent time on Broadway starring as Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables.”

What To Expect

“This is Christmas,” is a show that the whole family can get in on. The holiday spectacular is complete with really cute decorations, fun Vegas projections and appearances from Santa too.

Songs range from “Christmas in Las Vegas,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and the unofficial official Christmas anthem “All I Want For Christmas Is You” from former Vegas headliner Mariah Carey.

The show runs about 90 minutes, just long enough to hold the little ones attention and is packed with holiday fun.

“This is Christmas” is cute without Vegas style glitz glam. Meaning, it’s appropriate for families. It turned Scrooge into a believer in the show, and it’s a good bet it will do the same for you too!

The snow may not be falling, but your friends are calling, ‘yoo hoo…’

So, giddy yap, giddy yap, giddy yap, they think it’s grand, just holding your hand…

“This is Christmas” is riding along with a song of a wintry fairy land…

Performances are running Thursday through Sunday until Christmas day.
