This weekend you can see the first ever WWE SummerSlam in a football stadium, meet a WWE SuperStar, or even try out to be the next big one.

((Cue announcer voice here)) Let’s get ready to rumble! WWE SummerSlam 2021 is muscling their way into Vegas this weekend. For fans of the wrestling world our city will be Nirvana. Not only will you get the chance to see it live, you can meet a WWE Superstar, or even try out to be the next big Superstar!
Allegiant Stadium will host the biggest event of the summer on Saturday, August 21. Not only was it home to the Raiders first in-person preseason game days ago, it also has the honor of being the site of the first ever WWE Summerslam inside a football stadium. There are a total of ten matches scheduled to compete in the pay-per-view event. Of those ten, seven are championship matches, and three are non-title matches.

Universal Championship Match (a.k.a. The main event): Roman Reigns, current champion, is taking on Hollywood actor John Cena
WWE Championship Match: Bobby Lashley, current champion, is up against Goldberg
Triple Threat RAW Women’s Championship Match: Nikki A.S.H. (current champion) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Bianca Belair (current champion) is going up against Sasha Banks
United States Championship Match: Sheamus (current champion) is taking on Damian Priest
Raw Tag Team Championship: AJ Styles and Omos (current champion) are up against Randy Orton and Riddle
Raw Women’s Championship: Nikki A.S.H. vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
SHOW INFORMATION
Watching it LIVE – The parking lot at Allegiant opens at 1:30pm, doors open at 2:30pm and the show starts at 4:30pm. The parking situation has been slammed (pun fully intended) on social media, so plan accordingly. All attendees regardless of vaccination status will need to wear a face mask. More specific information on special circumstances can be found at Allegiant Stadium’s site.
Watching it at home – The event will stream live exclusively on the Peacock Network at 5pm PT.
OTHER BIG SUMMERSLAM EVENTS
After Party – Are you ready, cause she sure is. Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish is hosting the official WWE Summerslam afterparty. There is good news and bad news here. The good news is that WWE has partnered with Tiffany and her “She Ready Foundation,” for the afterparty. Her non-profit helps out foster children through sponsorship and mentoring. Now the bad news, the party is invite only. Wa wa wa.
Meet & Greets – SummerSlam meet and greets are at the Boulevard Ballroom inside the MGM Grand Conference Center located at 4701 Koval Ln. You will need a separate ticket for that. But that includes a photo opp with both a printed and digital copy, as well as a pre-signed limited edition glossy. In keeping with safety and health guidelines there is no physical interaction with any of the WWE Superstars.
WWE Talent Tryouts – Do you think you have what it takes to be the next WWE Superstar? Well give it your best shot. Tryouts are being held at the Grand Ballroom inside the MGM Grand Conference Center today (Thursday). Men and women can showcase their best performances in the hopes of making it to the WWE Performance.
Center in Orlando for training. Tryouts start at 2:30 and only 40 will be seen. This event is not open to the public.
And finally, because this is Vegas, we had to check the latest odds on the main event. BetOnline has John Cena as the underdog with a +300, and Roman Reigns is favored with a huge -500.
