Watch Xavier Mortimer levitate on the Strip
By Toni Gonzales
Let’s talk numbers shall we? Five billion, 10 million and $39. No, those aren’t the latest progressive payouts from Vegas casinos. They are in fact the number of online views, number of followers, and cost of a single ticket to see the new show, Xavier Mortimer: The Dream Maker by the man himself.
The most-followed magician has reappeared with a new show that is part comedy, part magic, and all kinds of fun. First at Planet Hollywood, and then over at Bally’s, Mortimer has done a presto chango and can now be found over at the STRAT.
The show starts with a young Xavier who meets his dream girl, Allie Sparks, on the playground in primary school. Then over the course of the show the two sing, dance, and perform magical feats all under the guise of a dream.
There is levitating…ooooh, ahhhhh.
There is mind reading…oh no he can’t. Actually, yes he can.
And there is predicting the future…hello winning lotto numbers!
Previous versions of his shows have gotten the magician some impressive accolades.
He received “Best Magic Show of Las Vegas” three consecutive years starting in 2018. Others include “Best Family Friendly Show of Las Vegas 2019 & 2020,” “Best Headliner 2020,” and “Best Value Show 2020.” All of that is to say that Xavier Mortimer has some chops, and in Vegas that is saying something. Just think of the competition he is up against.
During the time when we were all sheltering in place and glued to our phones, Xavier took to social media and became an internet sensation with his illusions. These aren’t pulling a rabbit out of a hat type of illusions either. The man literally made toilet paper appear, in a pandemic, c’mon!
Xavier Mortimer: The Dreammaker is inside the STRAT Theater inside the STRAT Hotel, Casino, and SkyPod.
