Do or donut, there is no try
What do Homer Simpson and Barack Obama have in common? They both love donuts. In fact, “201.02 million Americans consumed donuts in 2020.” So, it’s safe to say, by looking at these stats, that most people won’t want to miss out on a chance to win a year of free donuts.
Island Sushi and Grill is bringing back their Malassada Challenge for National Donut Day on June 3 at 1 p.m. A malassada is a Hawaiian fried dough dessert that originated in Portugal. The family-owned and operated eatery serves both unfilled and custard filled malassadas. Filled malassada options include: banana, chocolate, haupia or guava.
Since its inception in 2008, Island Sushi and Grill has brought the flavors of the islands to Vegas, which is also known as the “ninth island.” There’s not too many places in Sin City where one can find these specialty treats, but this Hawaiian restaurant bakes them fresh on the daily.
Before signing up for the challenge, take a look at the contest details to learn about the prizes.
