‘Las Vegas Marries the Military’ Offers Free Weddings on Veterans Day Weekend

On November 10, wedding professionals across the valley will be donating wedding services for members of the United States Armed Forces

Making arrangements is difficult for military couples because they may need to move at any moment due to a deployment or a natural disaster. This implies that planning a significant life event, such as a wedding ceremony, is not simple.

There’s no place better than Las Vegas, the Wedding Capital of the World, and home to these famous Las Vegas wedding chapels, to fashion a dreamy matrimony, one that belongs in a movie. Armed Forces members ready to tie the knot during Veterans Day weekend are encouraged to enter a giveaway to receive a free wedding or vow renewal package. There are 20 spots open for military couples ready to say, “I do.”

Military couples must submit a 30 to 60-second video online at “Las Vegas Marries the Military” by Friday, September 30. In the video, they must express why a Vegas wedding or vow renewal is meaningful to them. Giveaway recipients will receive a wedding or vow renewal package, a group reception, and a $250 Allegiant Airlines voucher. At least one member of the wedding party must be a United States Armed Forces member to be eligible.

The Office of the County Clerk and Vegas Wedding Chamber asked members of the local wedding industry to take part in honoring military members (active duty, guards, reserves, retired, and veterans) by offering complimentary services. The office received immense support from 38 vendors happy to provide Armed Forces members free ceremony services all day on November 10.

The services are valued at about $50,000, equaling 20 weddings or vow renewals plus generous contributions from local businesses. Las Vegas, “The Great Gatsby” of the United States, with its lavish gatherings and esteemed guests, is never short on good times.

“Veterans Day is a wonderful opportunity to thank active duty members and veterans and their families for their sacrifice on our behalf. Las Vegas Marries the Military allows us to offer a tangible ‘Thank You’ from our wedding community to these special couples,” says Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya in a statement.

Donations for ‘Las Vegas Marries the Military’ will be offered by the following businesses:

Free wedding packages will be donated by several Las Vegas Strip resorts, including Bellagio Resort and Casino, Wynn Las Vegas, ARIA Resort and Casino, Mandalay Resort and Casino, Paris Las Vegas, and Flamingo Las Vegas.

Venues participating without a casino backdrop are: Forge Social House, Art Houz, Vegas Weddings, Chapel of Flowers, Paradise Wedding Chapel, Love Story Wedding Chapel, Bootlegger Las Vegas, The Chapel of Nelson Ghost Town, Vegas Mob Weddings at Lucky Little Chapel, and Studio XO.

Other unique officiants donating ceremony services for military members are Hellbent Hitchings, Tuff Services Industries, A Grand Beginning, The Gypsy Mobile Minister, Elvis of Vegas, and Timeless Connections.

Many local professional photographers are volunteering to take photos of the wedding ceremonies, including: LV Wedding Connection, Sheila Drakely Photography, Jenni Photo Co., Marissa Ladera Photography, and Ninth Island Photography.

The 20 pairs of love birds will also receive contributions from the following establishments: Symphony Weddings and Events day-of coordinations, Allegiant Airlines flight vouchers, cosmetic services at Voie Spa and Salon, plus The Spa at the Linq, goods from Rolling in Dough Bakery, florals via Of The Desert Flor, and animal services from FairyTail Pet Care.

For the newlyweds, receptions will be held at The Vegas Event Center with complimentary appetizers and champagne toasts. Sight and Sound Events will provide a lively DJ while Smash Booth will entertain guests with interactive photo booths. Alpha-Lit’s dazzling marquee letters will add a dash of whimsy to the after party.

In the words of Maya Angelou, “How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and our she-roes!”

Before wedding bells ring, read all the contest rules and complete a submission form online at https://lvmarriesthemilitary.com/.
