Located inside the M Pavilion at the M Resort, Snow Carnival is a winter wonderland in the Las Vegas desert
As the late, great Las Vegas headliner Dean Martin would sing many times in his career, “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.” Well, at least one local casino is saying, “You got it!”
The M Resort Casino and Hotel is bringing Snow Carnival to Las Vegas from November 23 until January 8. The carnival will be a winter wonderland that gives desert residents a taste of a cold climate with clear crystals falling from above, a.k.a. snow.
Over 350 tons of real snow will transform the inside of the M Pavilion, located on casino property, into something that more closely resembles the North Pole and less like a casino south of the Strip.
Activities to Explore at Snow Carnival
A Light Drizzle
For the young kids—heck, even for the young at heart adults—there are a few low-key things to do at Snow Carnival.
One spot that we expect to be well traveled is the snowman building area. With new snow added daily to the carnival, this area might be the only place in Vegas where you can do this activity inside.
For the folks who want to get in on the fun, here are some ‘cooler’ things to consider.
Steady Snowfall
Explore an area of the carnival called, “Mini Matterhorn.” There, guests may use their snowy slants to go sledding. In the play area, visitors can have their own snowball fight or compete in one of the snowball throwing challenges.
Holiday heavyweights and the kiddos will be pink-cheeked and smiling big when they find out Santa is slated to make an appearance or two at the carnival.
Attendees over the age of 21 may enjoy an adult beverage from the Yeti Snow Bar—an adults-only pub built inside an igloo—while strolling through the Candy Cane Forest with the family.
Snow Storm
The Snow Carnival is also projected to be packed with snow and people. It is an indoor time-ticket event taking place inside the M Pavilion. The 25,000-square-foot space has a capacity of 2,300 people. Guests will need to purchase their desired time and day they want to visit. Reservations are highly recommended.
If a snowball throwing competition or a visit with Santa aren’t enough of a sway, then consider the time (and gas) you’ll save from fighting off Mt. Charleston traffic to get your annual snow picture.
While we here in Vegas always have ‘someplace else to go,’ this season make sure Snow Carnival is one of those places.
