Drink Spooky Spirits at Nightmare on Spring Mountain

Treat yourself to scary sips at a Halloween pop-up bar until November 1

Nightmare on Spring Mountain, a Halloween-inspired pop-up bar in Las Vegas, haunts The Sand Dollar Lounge once again. The neighborhood blues bar will be celebrating All Hallows Eve from October 1 to November 1. Good things come in threes, and Nightmare’s third year reinforces the adage.

Like previous spooky seasons, the local lounge transforms into an immersive supernatural spectacle with over $10,000 invested in Halloween decor and lighting. New seasonal cocktails with song names, themed costume nights, and live musical performances enliven the haunting hangout. Scary sips are served in bewitching glassware, another magical detail embracing the holiday spirits.

Sip on Musical Halloween Cocktails

Some of the tantalizing concoctions on their specialty drink menu this year include: “Tainted Love,” a dark chocolate and cherry Old Fashioned served in a rocks glass; “Dig Up Her Bones,” a tequila-based drink served in a pumpkin globe; “Witchy Woman,” a champagne cocktail with grapefruit rose petal vodka served in a black wine glass; and “I’m Your Boogieman,” a Pumpkin Pie Dickel Rye Whisky with coffee liqueur and vanilla almond milk served in a Black Collins “Mug” topped with a spooky umbrella.

Get Dressed up For a Costume Party

The eerie lounge is hosting five themed costume nights on Sundays and Wednesdays starting October 12. You don’t have to wait until Halloween to dress up. Listen to live music while wearing a ghastly garb that matches the theme.

  • Wednesday, October 12: “Walking Dead”/Zombies
  • Sunday, October 16: Slutty Anything
  • Wednesday, October 19: Evil Clown/Circus
  • Sunday, October 23: Disney (Fundraised for Make-A-Wish Foundation)
  • Wednesday, October 16: 70s Disco/Funk Prom

The Halloween pop-up bar is located at 3355 Spring Mountain Rd. Suite 30. Stop by to grab a “Tainted Love” cocktail on Monday through Saturday between 4 p.m. and 4 a.m. Or visit the limited-time haunt in a head-turning costume on Sunday between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. For more details to plan a night out, visit The Sand Dollar Lounge.
