Laguna Pool House & Kitchen

September 21

The Laguna Pool House & Kitchen on the 6th floor of Palms Place is continuing to bring a Polynesian vibe to the restaurant with its “Pool House Social Club,” a chef pop-up hosted every third Thursday of the month from 7 to 10 p.m.

This month’s rendition will feature Las Vegas native and chef extraordinaire James Trees, chef/owner of Esther’s Kitchen and Al Solito Posto. While everyone knows Chef James excels at cooking Italian, early in his career he cooked at a but critically praised restaurant in Los Angeles called The Hutchinson, which specialized in Indonesian fare. Chef’s pu pu platter for the evening, priced at $60 for two people, will include Chicken Satays, Shrimp En Brik, Mushroom Eggrolls, Pork Spare Ribs and Green Curry Chicken Wings served with peanut sauce, mint coriander sauce and yuzu kosho aioli.

There will also be two additional dishes by Chef James available: Nasi Goreng with Indonesian fried rice, prawns, chicken and sunny side egg; and Rendang Short Rib with coconut rice, Indo curry and charred bok choy. The guest mixologist will be Jonah Gibbs from Esther’s Kitchen, who will create three specialty Tiki cocktails for the evening. To reserve, click here.
