Celine Dion to kick things off with November COVID-19 relief concert
Resorts World Las Vegas has locked in performance dates for its all-star lineup of inaugural headliners, putting the rest of the Strip on notice that November through February are going to be some very busy months at its 5,000-seat performance venue.
Vegas veteran and global icon Celine Dion will christen The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas on Friday, November 5, 2021 with an opening night COVID-19 relief concert. The singer will perform 10 shows at the venue in November 2021. She’ll be followed by Grammy-winning crossover country star Carrie Underwood, who will play six shows in December. Katy Perry gets the coveted New Year’s Eve slot at Resorts World. The “Waking Up In Vegas” singer will perform eight shows beginning December 29, wrapping up her debut run on January 15, 2022. Then, country singer Luke Bryan will take over for six performances in February 2022.
The 30-show blitz signals Resorts World’s arrival on the Las Vegas entertainment scene following years of development and speculation over the $4 billion project. Behind the scenes, owner Genting Group and resort leadership have been busy locking up sought-after entertainers for new deals; with their lineup revealed in April’s “Stay Fabulous” sizzle reel.
In addition to the four concert headliners, Resorts World has been busy announcing residencies at its Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub. Jamie Jones, Duke Dumont, Peggy Gou, The Martinez Brothers, Marc Kinchen, Disclosure, Camelphat, Blond:Ish and Green Velvet are set to headline alongside Tiësto and Zedd, two residencies announced in the “Stay Fabulous” video.
