Ben Platt is set to perform at Virgin Hotels in 2022

Ben Platt, award-winning Broadway star, singer and songwriter, announced his biggest Northern Headline tour will kick off on February 23, 2022. One of his stops will be Las Vegas on April 2, 2022 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. He will be performing music from his second solo album, “Reverie.” New singles released from this album include, “Happy to be Sad,” and “Imagine.” Both songs are available on all digital platforms.
Most people know Ben Platt from his role as Benji in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise or maybe from Netflix’s series “The Politician.” But theatre nerds like me also stan him from his leading role in the Broadway musical, “Dear Evan Hansen.” The award-winning musical has been adapted into a movie set to release this September 2021. And I may have geeked out while watching his Netflix special last year, “Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall.” But it’s not just me that enjoys listening to Platt belt crazy high theatrical notes. Platt is a GRAMMY®, TONY®, and Emmy® Award-winning recording artist and songwriter. I think that’s also important to note.
In the makings of this album, Ben Platt worked with some of the best producers in the music biz. Producer Micheal Pollack, who has worked with Justin Bieber and Katy Perry; producer Zach Skelton, who has collaborated with the Jonas Brothers and Paul McCartney; and GRAMMY® Award nominee Gian Stone, all worked together on “Reverie.”
His successful single “Happy to be Sad” received praise from Billboard which said, “Platt’s cherubic vocals” take the listener on a story that “ beautifully illustrates the portrait of a lover having to leave his significant other for a while, and simply reveling in the sadness as a source of pure joy.” The catchy lyrics, upbeat track, smooth falsetto, plus heartfelt delivery captures a dynamic range of emotions and ethereal sounds. Plus, if you are a sucker for a great sax solo, like me, this single is right up your alley.
Public tickets go on sale for Ben Platt’s Northern Headline tour on Friday, August 27 at 10 a.m. (local time). However, Platt fans that are American Express® Card Members may purchase tickets earlier, starting on Thursday, August 19 at 10 a.m. (local time). Fans may register for presales on Ben Platt Live.
