Carrie Underwood and Journey Takeover Las Vegas

Music Fans are ‘blown away’ by epic new residencies

Ladies and legends are turning up the Las Vegas music scene, way up. New residencies are all hitting our city this month making December one of the hottest months for music shows this year. Just last evening two of the biggest ones had their openings. We’ve got a little bit of country with Carrie Underwood and a little bit of rock and roll from Journey. And as always, ladies first.

Carrie Underwood

Country music made her a star and this little lady made her Las Vegas debut as one of its newest headliners last night. Carrie Underwood and her “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” premiered at the brand new Resorts World Theater.

Not only was it her first show, it was the theaters first go around too. The new 5,000 capacity space was sold out for Underwood’s first show. A show that featured aerial performers and a virtual orchestra all in support of that flawless velvety voice from the Grammy winning artist.

Underwood danced, dazzled and delighted fans with her biggest hits and literally brought fire to the stage with a jeep that was set a flame feet from the superstar.

Her December run will take her through the 11th before Underwood breaks and returns again in March and April. And in even more news that will make you ‘cry pretty,’ six new shows have been announced for May and are on sale starting Monday, December 6.

Journey

The word ‘legendary’ is thrown around a lot with little thought to the reverence that should be given with the title. That is to say that you need to give your high esteem and loyalty to the legendary band that is Journey. And, lucky for you, you can by seeing them live at their new Las Vegas residency.

Journey kicked off their brand new show at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

In all there are six shows and in all you are guaranteed to hear hits like: “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “Wheel in the Sky”, “Who’s Crying Now” and more. We only ask is that you let lead singer, Arnel Pineda, hit all the high notes, will ya? Be a good neighbor and let pros do their job.
