Puck Drops Tonight, Golden Knights Against Seattle Kraken

Odds favor Vegas with an average of -250 to win tonight and +500 to win the cup in their fifth season

Vegas! Are you ready? It’s Knight Time. Cue the theme song and lower the helmet, the Fortress will be on fire tonight. The coolest NHL team in the desert is set to drop the puck on season five tonight at T-Mobile Arena. They are taking on the newly added expansion team in the NHL, the Seattle Kraken.  Here is what you need to know going into tonight’s game. 

The Fortress will be seeing some new faces tonight. Centermen Brett Howden, Nolan Patrick and right winger Evgenii Dadonov could hit the ice for the first time in the regular season tonight. Last season the leading scorers for the Knights were Mark Stone with 61 points (21G, 40A),  Max Pacioretty with 51 points (24G, 27A), Jonathan Marchessault with 44 points (18G, 26A), Shea Theodore scored 42 points (8G, 34A) and  William Karlsson recorded 39 points (14G, 25A).

For tonight’s season opener, the Golden Knights have one player, Mattias Janmark, on the COVID-19 protocol list. For their first ever regular season game in team history, the Kraken have five players on the COVID-19 protocol list. The Knights finished up their preseason with a record of 3-4 while the Kraken finished 4-2. 

The game will be broadcast on ESPN with the pregame show airing on AT&T SportsNet. On the radio it will air on FOX Sports 98.9FM and 1340 on the AM dial. 

If you plan on going to tonight’s game you should pack light. There are no bags or backpacks permitted at T-Mobile Arena. Small clutches and wallets (5″ x 9″ x 2″ max) are the exception.

Odds for tonight’s game across all the sportsbooks have Vegas as the favored team with an average of -250. The Kraken are sitting right around +210 depending on the book. Station Casino has both the Knights and the Avalanche tied at first place with a +500 to win the cup.

Knight time starts at 6:30 p.m., puck drop is 7:00 p.m.  Go Knights Go!
