The Queen of all Knights will be among the thousands of fans cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, September 13. Gladys Knight has been announced as the singer of the National Anthem at the first home game for the silver and black at Allegiant Stadium.

The seven-time Grammy winner posted the news on her social media saying, “I am very excited to be performing in celebration of Monday Night Football and support of Raiders Nation inside Allegiant Stadium…

I love this team so much!!!

Are ya’ll ready for some football?!?

GO RAIDERS!!!”

Known as the “Empress of Soul,” Knight considers Las Vegas her home. She continued in a statement, “The Raiders are like family to me and I’ve been a Raiders fan for decades. To be able to honor our country, the Raiders team and my home of Las Vegas by singing the Anthem, it is just so special. I am very honored that they still think of me when moments like this are considered and am beyond proud to be chosen for this amazing honor.”
