Allegiant Stadium’s first ‘rock’ concert is set for August 27
Las Vegans with an appetite for Guns N’ Roses need just a little more patience, as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group has secured Allegiant Stadium for their August 27 U.S. tour stop.
The date was announced June 1 but the location wasn’t revealed until a week later, with publicity material touting the appearance as the first “rock” concert at the stadium, which opened in time for the Las Vegas Raiders 2020-21 season but has kept attendance to a bare minimum until recently.
With the end of pandemic restrictions in Nevada, Allegiant Stadium’s events calendar has been filling up. Guns N’ Roses set to perform days after WWE’s SummerSlam event on August 21. Country star Garth Brooks has already sold out his “Stadium Tour” appearance in Vegas on July 10. And electronic music artist Illenium is set to stage the first-ever concert at the venue on July 3.
Guns N’ Roses originally planned to tour through 2020, but the first leg was canceled after a single appearance in Mexico City. The 2021 tour — dubbed “We’re F’N Back!” – kicks off July 31 in Hershey, Pennsylvania with a lineup that includes: Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, and Melissa Reese.
Tickets to the band’s Allegiant Stadium show go on sale to the general public June 12 . Visit Guns N’ Roses website for details.
