Take a look at 21 things we’re excited about in 2021. Whether you’re a sports fanatic or a concert-goer, Vegas has exciting developments on the horizon.
1. Vegas Golden Knights Return
The last few months of 2020 have been difficult without our beloved Golden Knights, but they’ll be back on the ice soon enough. The NHL recently agreed to a season starting on Jan. 13. Next up, getting fans back in T-Mobile Arena.
2. Resorts World Opens
Although this has been a long time in the making, Resorts World is finally coming to fruition. The most expensive luxury casino in Las Vegas history plans to open in summer 2021. Safe to say, our expectations are set extremely high.
3. Virgin Hotels Invites Us In
Virgin Hotels’ new Las Vegas destination will be open sometime in 2021. It will be a must-see venue.

4. Kids Head Back to School
Sometime in the new year, our schools will safely re-open. Kids will go back to learning with their friends, and parents can remove “part-time, stay-at-home teacher” from their resume.
5. Deployment of COVID-19 Vaccine
One of the most anticipated events of 2021 will be the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. There’s no knowing the exact date of widespread distribution, but the vaccine’s arrival brings us one step closer to normalcy.
6. UnCommons Community
It is not uncommon to want to achieve work-life balance. Thankfully, UnCommons community tenants can look forward to that balance in 2021. The new southwest Las Vegas development boasts more than 500,000 square feet in modern office space coupled with luxury living arrangements and an entire downtown district full of amenities. Sounds like a slam-dunk for young professionals.
7. Nothing Boring About It
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk’s Boring Company is close to completing its first underground tunnel for self-driving cars in Las Vegas. Located underneath the Las Vegas Convention Center, the first phase of the project is expected to be completed in January 2021, with plans to expand throughout the city. Here’s to a future with fewer traffic jams up and down the Strip.

8. National Finals Rodeo Returns
The National Final Rodeo’s retreat to Dallas due to pandemic restrictions was a major blow to the city in 2020. But, don’t put your cowboy boots away just yet—NFR returns to Thomas & Mack Center from Dec 2–11, 2021. Yeehaw.
9. Magic Mike Live Gets New Digs
Strip free of your inhibitions in 2021. Magic Mike Live returns to Las Vegas at its new home on the Strip at Sahara Las Vegas in March 2021. Gather your girls and get ready for an epic night out.
10. SEMA Zooms Into Town
Although it was cancelled this year, SEMA is set to return Nov 2–5, 2021. This automotive event draws more than 70,000 domestic and international buyers to Vegas each year. Event attendees will also be able to experience the brand new Las Vegas Convention Center.
11. Get Your Motor Running
Two big NASCAR events are planned for Las Vegas in 2021. The NASCAR Cup Series (Mar. 7th), and NASCAR Cup Series – South Point 400 (Sept. 26th) are both set to take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Tickets are on sale now.
12. Ushering in a New Era of Entertainment
Usher – The Las Vegas Residency is set to debut July 16 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, the global superstar will be among the first A-list resident artists to return to Las Vegas stages. Promised to be an immersive spectacular, Usher will deliver a jam-packed production with smash-hits spanning his 20 year career.
13. Fans Finally Get A Look
Raiders fans haven’t had a chance to cheer on their team from seats inside Allegiant Stadium; however, we’re counting on the opportunity to attend the more than 35 other events the Stadium plans to host throughout the year. Plus, we’re confident we’ll be catching the 2021-22 season from the inside. We can’t wait to put that beautiful new venue to good use, with the inclusion of live audiences.
14. The Return of Conventions
Lucky 58. COVID-19 all but decimated Las Vegas’ profitable conventions industry in 2020, but with 58 conventions listed on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority’s (LVCVA) website for next year, we’ll take that as a win. Here’s to 58 and counting.
#FunFact: The Convention Center Loop will include three passenger stations, which will connect the existing 3.2M sq. ft. of the LVCC campus with the new West Hall. #ExpansionMeansBusinessPosted by Vegas Means Business on Tuesday, October 6, 2020
15. Circa’s Luxurious Legacy Club
Legacy Club, the elegant rooftop lounge found on Circa’s 60th floor, allows patrons to enjoy an upscale cocktail experience while offering panoramic views of the Downtown skyline. Among the club’s most show-stopping attractions? A display of 1,000 ounces in gold.
16. Night + Market Restaurant
Think Thai street food, but with a Los Angeles twist. Opening at Virgin Resort and Casino this spring, award-winning chef Kris Yenbamroong brings his reinvented Thai food to Las Vegas after winning over Los Angeles. We’re hoping the flavor-packed party wings make the trip to Nevada, but we’re excited to see what new Vegas twists chef adds to the menu.
17. Triple 7s Aren’t Just for Spinning Reels
With 777 rooms, you’re sure to get lucky when you stay at Circa. Boasting more than a dozen different room types, including everything from opulent luxury suites to fun group bunk beds, no matter how you choose to Vegas there’s something for everyone at Circa which brings the good-time vibe full circle in Downtown.

18. Long Live Live Music
Music was meant to be heard live and we can’t wait for the return of tours to T-Mobile Arena. Not only will the Vegas Golden Knights hit the ice at T-Mobile in 2021, but several tours are lined up for the venue as well including stops by chart-toppers like Justin Bieber, Michael Buble and more. We’ve never been more excited to wait in a line and have total strangers spill beer on our shoes.
19. We’re Bullish on 2021
The Professional Bull Riders Global Cup USA 2021 heads to T-Mobile Arena April 16–17. Fans of the event can also catch the 2021 PBR World Finals in Vegas Nov. 3–7.
20. EDC Celebrates 25 Years
The Electric Daisy Carnival plans to have their anniversary May 21–23, 2021. This festival brings music lovers together from across the globe. The vibrant outfits, the candy bracelets, carnival rides and the booming bass have become a summer dream over the years. If you forgot to buy a ticket, you can join the waitlist.
