Three separate races will take place during the event in North Las Vegas
By Raymond Harrison
NASCAR fans can finally return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.
For the first time since Feb. 23, 2020, fans can watch races live inside the venue. A maximum of 12,500 viewers can view the action.
Of course, standard COVID-19 safety measures will be in place. All fans will receive a temperature check prior to entering the building, and they will allow no one with a temperature over 100 degrees inside.
Fans must also wear a face mask aside from when eating or drinking. Staff members will clean high-contact areas every 30 minutes, while standard social-distancing procedures will be in effect.
Weekend Schedule
Three races will take place during the festivities.
The Bucked Up 200 NASCAR Camping Truck World Series Race is 6 p.m. PT on Friday, while the Alsco Uniforms 300 of the NASCAR Xfinity Series is at 1:30 p.m. PT on Saturday.
The weekend concludes with the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at 3:30 p.m. PT on Sunday. It will be the 27th race in NASCAR Cup Series history hosted by Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
It may not be the same massive event as previous years, but, at the very least, it is a small return to normal.
